they are a good group to start with... they don't look down upon the ricers unlike NASA Mid Atlantic. But then again NASA see's the allot of tail lights from evo's these days.

I went to 5 of their events. Try and get a corvette instructor or a porche instructor... They tend to know different racing lines in wet and dry from an instructor that runs a AWD car.

I've done a variety of HPDE schools in the Mid-Atlantic area. Car Guys is by far the most safely run school I've gone to and there is a very easy-going atmosphere to them with a lot of track time. Great place for a first timer compared to, say, a NASA weekend.

Unsafe driving

So you've done Track Daze and MVP?

Were they that unsafe?

I'm not trying to say that any schools are unsafe or to be avoided, but some schools like Car Guys are better run with more emphasis on safety and learning than maximum speed. Events where I've seen a lot more close calls would be NASA Mid-Atlantic and FATT events.

ALI & TROYMAN... let's all stay in touch about the track days! Ali, you've gotta get signed off to solo @summit, the seat time days are a little cheaper and generally the field is a little faster, sessions slightly longer. And lets not forget THUNDERBOLT!!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPRING!!

Sounds good. Yeah I really do need to get signed off for seat time. I'm going to race school soon so maybe I can just show them my regional license and that may allow me to get bumped up. I don't mind group 1, I just hate that I have to signup 2 months ahead of time.
