Oh. and bye the way....When you were doing your top speed did you consider how the lives of the people you interact with and love would be affected if you had lost control and died in an accident?

Their lives would be changed directly by your actions. Spectators assume risk by being there. They are willingly accepting their own outcome. Whether they go home or not at the end of the night.

If I go to a Zoo and a Lion gets loose and I get killed. I chose to go to the zoo.

It's people with your mentality that allow the government to intervien and create more laws to restrict our freedoms because you want to blame or sue for what the other guy did. Accept your own fault in the decisions you make. Most you can learn a lesson from. Some you don't.

I'm a realist. I create my own outcome in every situation.

Wow your a moron...

Not even going to bother to add to this thread as dcorn seems to have taken care of it.

Obviously I am the only person on this entire forum that has raced another car on the street at any capacity. That is strange, because I meet with 12-100 other people at least once a month for that exact reason......

Those people must all be on http://www.istreetracebecausepeopleh...erecreated.net
I'll just go there because that is something that people don't understand will never go away. As long as there are cars on the road, people will race.

after reading all your post....i say ...

uhm, yes street racing is illegal..if it wasn't, i'd be out there doing it right now...

not to say that i haven't done it, but after the first 800$ spent on court fees..you get a little discouraged ..

also to the point of "choosing your own decisions"..that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard......if you walk out your house right now, and a car comes down the road and plows you over.

how can you say its your fault, you chose to walk outside at that particular time..or if you go to grocery store and get shot down in parkin lot...oh well, i guess i shouldn't of went shopping at that time.

...anything out of the norm than yes it is your fault, standing on a highway and get hit by cars traveling on the highway (cars on highway is in the norm) than its your fault....if you stand on a train track and get hit by a train, its not the trains fault.....now if that same train comes smashing threw your kitchen and smacks you while you makin a sandwich...now thats the trains fault.

You go ahead to that site. Seems like 'the server is down' at the moment, but I'm sure it'll be back up for you sometime. Meeting up with hundreds of people to bet on and watch street races is completely idiotic, almost as much as the racing itself. If your story is true, I can pretty much guess which guy was your friend, but you mind telling us his name? Everyone killed at the scene were of a similar age and race except for one guy, and I'm guessing thats the guy you knew.

**New info in the case is that the driver of the car was on a suspended license and has a bunch of hits on his driving record, and criminal record. At 20, he reportedly has 2 kids as well. This county sure does have a lot of trashy people in it

Anywho, I drove thru the accident scene yesterday after work, where there were 2 cops posted up and numerous burnout marks in the street. Seems to me like there were quite a few races that night. I wasn't sure where it was and I probably would have missed it if not for the cops. The scene is also at the crest of a small hill, so if it were pitch black out, I could see how it would be tough to see a bunch of people near or in the road. I still don't believe the guy had his lights off.

dcorn, that spot on 210 has been used for years and years for racing. I am surprised that you haven't heard about it before. There are tons of burnout marks there from many years of use.

I love how everyday when I drive home from work there are cops set up there now just because of all the camera crews. The cops have known about that spot forever and never did a thing about it before.

dcorn, you're right, there are nothing but trifling people in the county.
