Question Best dealer in the MD/DC/NoVA area for buying/servicing Evo?

Assuming I can overlook the issues with the transmission/clutch, I might be in the market for an Evo soon. If that's the case, which dealers should I shop and which should I avoid?

I live up near the top of Howard County, but I would travel as far as NoVA for the right price. I know generally VA dealerships have higher processing charges, etc, so I'm pretty sure somewhere in MD would be the best price.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I might even test drive one tomorrow (assuming I can find a dealer with one to demo before then.)

Thanks!

Have you seen them in person?

Have they been test-driven? How many miles on them?

I'm really picky when I buy a car that it hasn't been test driven, etc. I guess I have to let that go when the car is somewhat a limited production vehicle, eh? =\

Stohlman in Tysons has 14 listed on their web site. Got mine there for $250 under MSRP. If you go there speak with Monica, she was helpful for me.

Will they order me one so it is brand new, not test driven, and will they listen if I ask for it to be delivered without a front plate bracket installed?

I can't speak about the ordering of one without being driven, but at Stohlman, they asked me before installing the front plate bracket.

Sheehy Mitsu in Manassas absolutely does not allow test drives of the Evo, so you know it's gonna be fresh...mine had only 13 miles on it...literally drove it right off the showroom floor!

You don't really need to test drive the Evo before buying it...trust me, it's fast!

Where can I test drove one then? In no way would I spend $30k on my only car (daily driver) without knowing how the clutch and gearbox feels, how the seat comfort is, how the suspension feels, etc.

I got mine today at Sheehy in Waldorf

I bought my EVO today 8/5 at Sheehy in Waldorf. Both Sheehy and Stohlman offered $500 below list and Sheehy was closer for me. They also had exactly the model I wanted - yellow with a wing and sunroof. They have a silver one without a wing but with a sunroof still available. If you decide to go there, see Cory Cohen. There were no add-ons or hidden costs.

I have some mixed feelings about the service. I don't think they have any certified EVO techs although they claim to be relocating one from Manassas.

They car is really nice. I have never driven anything that steers like it.

hey, i work at win kelly mitsubishi.

We will be recieving 3 EVO's in the next 2 weeks. Im not sure of colors or what not. Were located in howard county in clarksvile.

They will be sold at MSRP. I might be able to convince the boss 100 under to match others.

Thanks

Hahahaha no way, you work at Win Kelly?? Win Kelly brings back some good/bad memories. I used to work in that autopark.

Anyway, if you could match (or get close to) $500 under and you get in a silver w/ sunroof and cf wing, let me know (PM me). That would probably be the color and load-out for the Evo that I would be interested in.

I'm in no hurry to buy yet, but if you can price it right I might be swayed from waiting for the 04s in February.

I got mine at Stohlman's and have had nothing but good experiences with them in the 4 months I've had my Evo.

I had 6 miles on mine when I got it.
