David brandt my best bud

Hi there my name is Darla and I was a good friend of David Brandt from Annandale, VA. He was killed on December 10 after racing a late model Silver BMW. The driver did not stop and has not come forward. A bunch of his friends have gotten together and posted a reward for any information on this car or the driver. the reward right now is $1,000. If you have any information Please call trooper W.M. Paul @ 703-323-2777 or call me Darla @ 252-373-0395.
Please know we just want to know what happened . This is for Virginia, Maryland, and DC Areas Mostly. Thanks again. Darla

Sorry to hear about your loss but I think it's going to be very hard to find any information on the forum to help you out.

Best of luck serving justice.

Why is it the BMW drivers fault? Did it ram his car? Neither should have been racing but they both made the decision to do it. It will probably be hard to find the BMW owner considering they will probably try to stick him with some kind of manslaughter..

This is one of the main things that keeps me away from racing on the street even when there is nobody else around, that the other guy slams himself into a pole and it gets blamed on me.

Sorry for your loss...

The manslaughter charge gets thrown around here quite a bit too. I've read about it several times. I think it's main goal is an incentive not to street race.

Just out of curiosity... how is it known he was racing a late model BMW? Surely if someone else witnessed the race there would be more to go on. Or maybe I just pay too much attention when I see people racing.

So because of the consequences you don't think they should come forward?? Yes they both made the mistake of racing..... the one boy already paid the consequences..... because he's no longer here. He doesn't have the chance to make it right. The boy that's still out there who made the same decision gets to go home every night. Hopefully the bad memories haunt him forever or until he comes clean. If something like that happened you wouldn't turn around to even check on the guy?? Even most animals have the instinct to help their own in need. What's this guys excuse??? He was a man when he was racing on the streets..... not so much now right??

And just to add... most people if they see an accident happen they stop to make sure everyones ok right?? The only reason he would NOT stop is 'cause he's guilty and a cowardly piece of poo. That is all.

Most of the eye witnesses said it was a late model BMW, Not sure if 2 door or 4 door. They were going in and out of traffic. but if what the guys said a few ago about the ones on Dcevoclub.com is true no wonder they jumped on and me and said the things they said. It all makes sense now.

I see both sides... The 'honorable' thing to do would be for the other individual involved to come forward, but the way society is now, highly unlikely. Its rather interesting because I saw on news today about some man getting hit by a car and no one did anything. They just let the man lay in the streets, suffering and dying. They had a video clip of it all. You can see civilians on the side walk looking at him, but no one ever came to his aid. Similar incident happened years ago when a woman was stabbed over 30 times in front of her door steps, people heard her screams but turned a blind eye (not saying this is right or what most of society does, but it happens).

When you race, your taking a gamble. Its terrible and tragic what happened. Honestly, the BmW driver (if it was a BmW) won't come forward. Ask yourself (not direct toward anyone), would you, knowing how the law systems will judge you and slap you with their judgment? Its all a matter of an opinion whether the other individual involved is at fault or not. Yes, he or she did race, but was he or she the direct factor causing the crash? (Meaning, did the BmW driver swarve into the Evo or made gesture trying to purposely causing the Evo to crash). If your provoked into racing, then one shall take responsibilities for ones own action. My prayers and condolences goes out to the individual who lost his life.

I hear what ya are saying. I agree people today do not have a soul anymore. I have always know that dave was doing something that was dangerous. I guess I just thought the other person would come forward and tell somebody so people would at least know the truth ya know.

I agree with you 100%. I think it would be honorable to come forward. This way the family has closure. I am sure if anyone of the members here hear anything, they'll contact you or the listed information you have provided. Best of luck.
