I know it's a bit of a drive for you but Hall Mitsubishi in Newport News is pretty cool, you need to talk to Billy Sims the Mitsu Service writer. My car is, as he calls it, heavily modded and he still has offered to fix a few things under warranty for me. (Front o2, shifter, some other stuff.) There phone service is kinda weird but there service is good, for me at least. Just be honest and tell him what is happening and what mods you ahve done. If you haven't modded the ACD or T-case you should be good. There number is 1-866-381-1526. You have to listen to the message and press the numbers for the mitsu dept. I hope this helps and you are able to get it fixed.
