Mod friendly dealer in the Detroit, MI area

Ok. I know this is far fetched, but I'm getting desperate.

I'm having some suspension issues that I will try to diagnose myself when I change out my brake pads in the next week or so. If I end up not finding anything myself, I may resort to taking it into the dealer for service.

Current Mods:
1) Dynoflash
2) Hallman MBC
3) APS BOV
4) Buschur Intake and filter

I can take all those parts off and return to stock in a few hours, but I'm still waiting on Al to get back with me on whether or not the car will drive ok with stock parts and the dynoflash. I'm just trying to find a dealer to go to in the area that won't red flag me for my mods. Please let me know if any of you guys know of any dealers I could go to. I'm in the Royal Oak area by the way. Any tips would help. Thanks.

To my knowldege they cannot do anything about your mods to void warrenty. When I took my car into Art Moran all they did was log in the computer system that I had a air intake. So as they told me that even if I have mods they can not stop the free service on my car due to mods. I don't think there's anyway to tell if you have yours flashed or not so you should be ok.

If you go to Arnold Mitsu, make sure you're back to stock (visually, at least): Arnold is known to go out of their way to look for reasons/excuses to void warranties - I've have had it out with them quite a few times about stupid crap they've done (and have not done!)

ie: WTF was mechanic doing looking in my trunk, going through the glovebox & storage compartments when car was only there for an oil change?!? (answer - he'd been instructed to look for non-OEM/aftermarket parts, receipts & timeslips 'cause they couldn't believe someone had actually kept an Evo 100% stock and didn't race it.)

When Arnold tried the "you must've abused the car" line on me, just handed them my attorney's card and asked to see their proof...

What suspension issue are you having?

Take the mods off, drive it easy, you should be fine. They can only detect flash in 05, if they look. You have minimal mods, don't take the risk.

This might be the best way for you to go.

I also heard that Showcase Mitsu was mod friendly according to some people who take their modded Evos there. I think most of them probably bought it there also. The manager supposedly has a modded Evo of his own.

Also, re-think about modding if the warranty thing bothers you. that whole removing mods thing would probably **** me off if I had to do that... even for the free maintenance. Good luck.
