Seats Stolen

Well I woke up this morning to go to work and found out that somebody liked my stock seats more than I did apparently. They broke into the left rear door quarter glass to get in. They took both front seats, left my stereo, boost gauge, and tactrix cable. No other damage to the car. What a nice way to end the year. If you guys could be on the look out for me I would appreciate it.

Damn, sorry to hear. I'll keep an eye out. Check ebay and craiglist.

That's why my first mod was the alarm system.

if the thief didn't go after anything else, I'd say he will use them, not sell em.

heh, actually... this was a common trend a couple years ago for people to steal evo seats and sell em, check the price on them and you'll understand why.

An alarm would have helped a little, but if they are determined enough it doesn't matter. It takes less than 5 minutes to take those seats out. By the time I would have put on pants and made it outside they would probably be gone. It would be a great deterant once they broke into the car- probably would have ran away. Anyways, I priced them out from the dealer and it was $11,500. Definitely professional job done. No prints anywhere on the car and I talked to a friend who's an adjuster and apparently I'm about the 10th person in this region to have this happen with in a relatively short time span- month or two. That makes me think there selling these for cash and have a deal with somebody who can unload them.
My insurance co basically gave me free reign to pick out whatever seats I want now due to the cost from the dealer. After looking at all the options out there, I'm probably going to get another set of Recaro's. The quality of those seats was unreal.

They wore gloves.
I was considering the brides but I've never sat in them before. I was looking at the bride brix in plain black (not leather) but it doesn't look like there's a lot of cushion on the bottom. They do seem to have more side support and leg support. I know dog hair comes off with one swipe of the vacuum and anything spilled comes off with one swipe of a wet rag on the Recaro's. They looked brand new with 35K on them.
