Hey guys, have fun.
I had a good time yesterday (10/17) with my own FATT. I did 125-130 on the straight in my Evo, but like my instructor told me, anyone can hold the accelerator down for a long time... It was my first chance to try out the modification I did on Thursday, replacing the muffler with the Buschur straight pipe. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=40216
The first three runs were dry, the last session was wet. The dry runs were fun and pretty uneventful. Passed a lot of cars, didn't get passed myself.
Fourth session was wet, and it took me two or three laps to get used to the idea of going fast on a wet surface. Had two "moments" in the wet -- first, the rear tires stepped out on me just a bit in turn 3. I had no problem correcting it, but it sure did make my heart skip a beat. Then in the carousel, the front tires totally lost traction and I had to get out of the throttle to recover -- but that was pretty much a non-event, as I was going much slower, probably about 35 MPH at the most.
The fourth (wet) session ended early, as we were red flagged and the session was cut short; apparently an S2000 went off course near Turn 9, on the left side before the bridge. Didn't see it happen, but I saw the S2000 afterwards, quite a bit of dents in the body, but he drove the car home.
I met the owner of a Blue Evo who was there watching a friend run. He said he was one of the first blue Evos in the Mid-Atlantic region, and he lives in Rockville. His Evo has some decent mods (AFC, turboback, intake, etc.), but he said it's basically set up for drag racing. I forgot to ask if he's here on the forum -- so if you're here, or know the guy, let me know.

Have fun out there... Weather looks like it will be a bit cold but dry. Take it easy on your tires for a lap or two until you get some heat in them.
And when you come to Turn 4 (The Chute), no brake!!! THROTTLE!!!
