Has anyone been to a tire/alignment shop located at 1400 north ave? Dont know the name offhand, but was wondering if they do good work there?

 

Near Best Buy and The Container Store? That place looks like a regular oil change/car wash place. Unless you see other performance cars there I'd go to AMS or the dealer.

 

Yea Neal at tirerack recommended the place, Im going to check out the shop near ams for alignment instead

 

Hkfeet are you talking about that shop called Bill and Jims right down the street from AMS? I heard they have excellent reputation and have done many race cars and many EVO's, i wanted to go there but they only have by appointment only. I went over to NTB in Palatine. There is an ex-AMS employee who did my alignment and did a very good job. Off of Dundee Road.

 

Yea thats the shop. Do you know if they can corner balance my car if I get some coilovers?

 

Corner Balance? I almost positive no..But the guy @ NTB (ex-AMS employee) knows a place where they do that. He says all the SCCA Miata's go there to get thier suspension tuned. I'll try to find the number and a name whenever i get back from my business trip.

i did confirm with Dave & Jim Auto Body 847-228-5277 on 2345 E. Okaton St.,Elk Grove Village they do not do corner balancing. And i also tried contacting NTB in Palatine 847-776-8540 and asked for Ryan Decker he wasn't in today but i believe he knows where you can do corner balancing. Probably you could just wait till late spring when they start doing SCCA races around the area. Ive seen their equipment there and ive seen some of them will even do it for you for free.
