Thanks as always, I have enough people, but might need back-up depending on the crowd! The Film Production crew will have enough people, I think there bringing a "boom" camera for some sweet shots. anyone have access to about 8 walkie-talkies? or a bull-horn? I guess I'll buy them if I have to!

Open faced helmets are allowed, as long as they meet the below ratings and you are not driving a vehicle w/ an open cockpit. If you plan on doing any SCCA autocross events in the future, a good helmet is a smart investment. I am assuming we are conforming to the SCCA rules since we are borrowing their equipment and expertise??
This is straight out of the SCCA rulebook:

"Helmets meeting the following standards must be worn while on course: All helmets meeting the current or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards (SA, K, or M), or SFI standards 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, or 41.2A are acceptable. FIA approved helmets which are acceptable for use in Rally events are acceptable for Solo II events."

E2L, you are correct, with all that knowledge in your cranium, how can you fit your "dome" in a helmet? it must be a 50 gallon hat size. The Miamivalley sports car club will Sanction the event, get us all the equipment, and help us out on our Innagrial Show, and for sure we WILL use them for ALL our FUTURE events, as one hand washes another, and they came thru on short notice! The Indy SCCA told me "sorry, no 30 day notice!" maybe next year, well there WONT be "next" year with them, I will be with the obvious choice here!!!!!!!! And everyone better thank them when they see them, as they said yes for us!!!

Just got back from the flughafen( I still remember some German), and It appears they will give us a "window" or shut down runway 7 for our 0-100-0 event. That is the runway just south of the ramp we will use for the auto-X. (see satellite photo). All "Helpers" be prepared to show-up at the airport on this Sat. to do a walk thru and see what goes where! since we will have a flag up where the car stops, it will continue to be moved back farther and farther, as the cars stop quicker and quicker, the crowd can see this from a distance, and it will be exciting for us drivers to try our damnest to stop BEFORE the flag.

For our Deutsch correspondents:
Du bist zu weit weg, zum mit kommen zum diese auto rennen, aber wir shcicken dir ein film druber, aber sie must ein postfach shcicken sofort.

I think thats right, its been a while, I hope I didnt insult Grabers mothers mole on her chin, once again.............I digress!!!

I think Herr. Kevin means is: if you are too far to come to the show, he can send you a movie of the event if you give him your address.

Am I right?

Or for the Italians: Se siete troppo lontani per venire all'esposizione, l'uomo dell'autoadesivo può trasmettervi un movie dell'evento se gli date il vostro indirizzo.

or for our Russian friends: если вы слишком далеки для того чтобы прийти к выставке, то он может послать вами киноего случая если вы даете ему ваш адрес.

Just so toes don't appear to be getting stepped on......the SCCA is in
no way helping with this event. Miami Valley Sports Car Club is providing all
of the equipment, set up, timing & scoring, and NASA (National Auto Sport Assoc.)
is providing the insurance policy. The local SCCA club refused to help....3 of their
members are helping, but the club refused. Sorry, just don't want the SCCA to get
credit for NOT helping. Rant over.

MY bad!!!!! Lets give credit where it is due!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets give props to the MVSCC and NASA, I was told they (Indy) would be there (Partly) but it appears there is a few who want to help out, but not affiliated in ANY WAY with sanctioning this event, It is soley our partners from the east, and big thanks again to MACHWON for making this gel., as well as the members of their club!
