Its that time again to put on my "winged warrior" car show. last year we had 10 evos, and a lot of imports on the front lawn of my office. (enough room for 400+ cars. We had trophies, prizes, free cook-out and a lot of fun. it will probably be in end of april/mid-may. this time i want to see about "renting" some of a local airport for some cone-racing, 0-100-0 etc... possibly even going via convoy to a race track in the detroit area for some racing at a roadcourse. (pending me getting some strings pulled to get the keys to the gate). i have talked to idriveawhiteevo and he says we can combine our events together, any interest? I have this "car show/meet" which is free of charge, i guess i like to give stuff away. maybe this year i will be doing donations only for the local skate park- for equipment. let me know what you think.

 

That sounds cool, but it's a little too far for me. You should try to sell this a little more. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I'm surprised you haven't recieved more of a response yet. Good luck!

thanks jason for the props. i see if i cant sway the judges this year to get you a nice trophy. i have a "BEST HARLEY" trophy left over from last year........I think i'll give that one to idriveawhitetool.

 

Help me out on selling points. i am going to start to advertise this one on the radio soon, ie Bob and Tom etc... what would be a good time to have this? Memorial day weekend? or sooner. all inputs please. I think this year i will have Dicks bodasious BBQ cater. last year i gave away a tool chest to the person who drove in the farthest, come on down you could end up with a nice parting gift.

Wow, radio publicity and some Bodacious BBQ huh??!! Sounds intense to me. As for dates - I suggest a weekend where someones family or friends won't get in the way of a sweet a$$ car show but then again maybe the family and friends would want to join . . . . . Hard to say but regardless I will do everything in my power to go.

i was considering going to the evo/wrx shootout also. maybe we can convoy. are you going to race in it?

 

well depends. I am getting the ECU tuned up in Chicago this weekend so kinda depends on how she feels after that. Tires are getting bad but would be a good time to get new ones

So still debating but would love to convoy.

i read about this last year at Family Mitsu. i always see smokedmustang's evo there. i think i'll try to make it this year. a convoy to the shootout would be cool.

 

yes the car is back at Family mishsu on the lift, i am getting my new and strengthened Transfer case installed, an updated piggy back computer with launch control, and rod bolts put in. I cant go to the shoot out.....as i have to break in the TC. Hope to see all of you guys there we'll have a lot of fun again im sure . Tell your buddies at midwestlancer club, i cant get in there. tell all the people you know about the show, will like to pack the house. i havent heard from hooligan or idriveawhiteevo yet, i'll have to call them.

i hope to have a date next week at the latest... i dont want to coincide with other events in indy, and i want to secure a part of mt. comfort airport runway for some cone racing. i'm still checking with them. do you know of other events around during late april or beg may? how many people can you bring. i need to know a guestimate as i have to order the food soon.
