Colorado only: best & cheap place to install cams

Anyone know a good place to install my HKS cams (264/272). I'm kinda cheap and in debt so help me out. MAC quoted me $340 for install already but would like to find a cheaper place. This is for an EVO8.

I have a guy that put mine on down in Arvada been working on my last two cars over the last four years. Anyways, let me know he can give you a sick deal. He is actually putting mine on this weekend (272's) and my tein flex coilovers.

If you come up to the Cheyenne area, I'll do it for $75.00 and Subway for lunch.

Hey Justin, I might just hit you up on that! You got a big garage? I'll let you know if I can't find a good price.

Anyone recommend cam gears too? I'm not sure if it's worth $320+tax for the power you extract from it. I meant name brands like HKS or AEM. I don't want to use anything cheap. What type of power wise are you guys seeing in cam gears? I know we've extracted alot of power from FI Honda motors but haven't really heard much about our 4G63.

Let me know a little in advance so we can work out a date that works out well for the both of us. I've got quite an odd scehdule being in the military.

I've got a two car garage. We'll have plenty of room, no worries about that. I do ask that we change the timing belt tensioner though. I really don't like re-using them after they've been compressed. I just don't feel comfortable. If the timing belt is rather low mileage we can re-use that however.

I went with some rather expensive Unorthodox Racing UltraT gears, I've yet to tune the car as I stated earlier, in another post. I do believe they "work" if that is what your questioning, but weither or not the changes they make are worth the price... That's for you to evaluate.

Personally, I'd get the gears with anything more than a straight 264/264 setup. That's me though.

You should try and get your cams put in before this weekend. I am heading down to MAC to get dyno tuned for C16 and heading to bandimere on Sunday. Hopefully 12's here I come!!
