You have a BBY evo right, I'm pretty sure I saw you that day when you saw the silver evo but I've also seen another silver evo with the OSU stickers on it locally and at sunoco as well.

Mines EB, not BBY. Might be hard to tell the difference from more than 100 feet away, unless they're side by side.

Very possible, Talon you still live in Sville right, there are at least 3 other evo's in sville that I know of a BBY(went to highschool with the kid), Yellow (kids older brother), and the 3rd evo I can't remember the color but the guy lives in Ashley Oaks and they also have an STi. I don't think any of them are on the forums though.

My lucky days just don't seem to end

Came outside just now and when closed the door in my Evo, eard pieces of my rear winshield fall. Looked and it was all shattered. When I was coming out to warm up my car, nothing was wrong. Check everything inside and stones or bb gun bullets. Seemed to explode due to cold weather.....

I'm just wondering if my insurance will pay for it. I have nationwide full coverage, but don't know if they have deductable on glass. I know some insurance companies don't (they allow you 3 claims a year). Gonna call mine tomorrow.

Yep, I've got no imotions right now, just sick of it all.

Did your rear windshield actually fall out or does it look like it was broken. I just read a TSB for creaking windshields and I noticed that in this cold weather my windshields have some creaking to them. I'm wondering if yours is just more of a severe case?

It had no cracks whatsoever.... It just cracked, shattered, and all fell inside.

Most of it fell in when I was parking my car in garage

On the bright side..your motor is still in your car

My rear window is very creaky in the cold weather, have been waiting for it to break for two winters now

Chris, I heard that you all did not find anything wrong with the motor.

What's the plan of action now? Still a major bummer.

When I go to work this afternoon I'll look into the TSB and I'll see what Mitsu does about it.

Well hope it doesn't..... I just called my insurance and I have $500 deductable. Called 2 glass companies:

First one told me it would cost $164.50, I knew something wasn't right (deep down I was hoping I was wrong), so I told them to check again if it was for Evo, not regular Lancer. Well she came back and told me it would cost $798.40 installed. All due to the hole for the rear wiper. She told me same fitment and everything as Lancer, but just that hole makes it a different type. I asked if her guys could do it themselves and she said no. She gave me and option :

A. Drive without rear wiper for $164.50
B. Drive with rear wiper for $798.40

I really want my wiper back

Another company quoted me $690 installed.

There is no one else out there that could do it for cheaper?????

Anybody selling their rear winshield??

So hope yours doesn't break....

As for the engine, you're right, I feel your pain.

Had to replace a whole engine on my Z32 due to rod knock. Took me damn year

Well, I decided to stick to the wiper. But after that company called and told me I have to wait about a week and a half for that back glass I couldn't take it. They said that they have to order it from a dealer, and that dealer doesn't tell them when it's going to arrive. They think it's going to be by the end of next week.

I said screw it. $335 difference+ not having my car for almost 2 weeks. Might have to let the wiper go.

Called Tony at Medina and he confirmed that it might be as soon as Monday or might take more time since it's fregile. The rear glass itself costs $670. I asked him if regular lancer will work, he said it might.

So I'm thinking of ordering regular lancer's back glass and forgetting about the wiper. Plus they can have it done tomorrow.

Tough decision, don't know what to do. Hoping someone local would have Evo rear glass, but then actually why would they have it separate from the car? So I basicly have time til tomorrow to decide.

I don't know how it's going to feel without a rear wiper. Small thing, don't really notice it everyday, but when you have to let it go it does mean something .
