Dragway 42 was packed last night! Packed!
We were tuning my boys DSM on the way up, 130,000miles, stock bottom end (50trim bb, meth injection... etc) raised the boost from 20 to 26 psi, did three 3rd gear pulls and had it pretty much dialed in, and we start hearing this sound........ Guess what, another car I have tuned in the past month that the clutch took a crap on, that makes 4 now! Good thing is hes getting a Shep Stage 3 Trans with his new Clutch.
Thats 1 DSM down for the evening
Now on for the Second...
My other dudes 90 laser awd, runs low 13's, no tuning, just bolt ons. First gear has been "clicking" for a while and he already has an appointment for shep to work on the trans. Makes 1 pass and misses second. Second pass.... a retarded launch, that thing may have cut a 1.6, and boom! First gear shatters. The crowd went nuts, it was unbeleviable how loud it was from the stands!
That makes 2 DSMs down for the night.
Im sure glad Evos are new! I wonder how much better they will hold up after they are 10 years old...

Oh, by they way, my buddy with the 2g that the clutch went out on is taking advantage of the trans being out and building his engine as well. He will easily be able to max out the 50trim on it with his new setup, and will be getting a new turbo.
This turbo has literally 500 or so miles on it, way less than 1000. It is a dual ball bearing center. PM me if you are interested.

How loud is your exhaust? Reason I ask is because Bobby and I almost got booted out last time because the our exhausts. They gave us a warning. I didn't change a thing on mine so I might get booted out this time coming up.
If yours is too loud, they might boot you is all I'm saying.

^^ Do you still have your factory cat or are you on a high flow cat?
If you still have the factory cat, throw that bish on there and it may bring you down the 4db's you need to be OK.
I'm throwing my high flow cat on so they will at least see an improvement. I don't think there is any way to get mine below 95dbs @ 4500 though.
Also, isn't sound testing a turbo car when it is not under load a bit inaccurate? IE testing it in neutral at 4500rpms. IMO, a turbo car would actually be quieter when under load at the same RPM.
If my pea brain thoughts are correct, we may have an argument to stay because their testing procedures are flawed.
