How loud is your exhaust? Reason I ask is because Bobby and I almost got booted out last time because the our exhausts. They gave us a warning. I didn't change a thing on mine so I might get booted out this time coming up.
If yours is too loud, they might boot you is all I'm saying.

Isn't stock 92db?
P.S What's going on at Summit on Sat.? what is it all about?
Nope, what's between my legs makes me really proud.
And you could not be more wrong about noise levels regarding N/A cars vs. turbo cars. I thought this was common knowledge for us gearheads.
"Because of reduced overall size, the sound-radiating outer surface of a turbo engine is smaller, it is therefore less noisy than a naturally aspirated engine with identical output. The turbocharger itself acts as an additional silencer."

Translation:
- We have company in town this weekend from Chicago and I fly out Sun night for work.
- Cat is still on car from eCheck and is leaving like a sieve....no exaggeration
Besides, my car is allergic to cones!

It's their annual car show. They close down their parking lot all the way around the building. There are a ton of muscle cars.. and a few interesting cars. There is usually a decent showing for imports..
They have the store open and they have had some pretty good sales in the past.
Although I went in the other day and they don't carry hardly anything anymore.. (no Greddy, HKS, ACT, Exedy...)
Last year there was a car (it was a vette or a gto i can't remember) that had a custom turbo setup.. it was in the back of the car.. right near the exhaust outlet.. and he had pipes running back up to the front.. I don't know how it was worth the effort.. (did anyone see it..?)
Just what ever you do.. be careful driving on I-76.... cops are out like crazy.
They hide on the on-ramp.

smilie, I'm genuinely annoyed at the person. I have to remember that not everyone is like me in that way.
I hope to see me at more events this season too. I still need to break in my helmet!

Damn straight the turbo quiets the car. Who ever has heard a DSM at WOT vs a Honda or Miata with similar exhaust mods can tell pretty easily. THe Evo is one of the loudest turbo motors I've ever heard, not doens't compare to that straight pipe'd Porsche they didn't check.

Not to mention the compression. Turbo cars typically run a much lower compression and are much less high-strung.
My Eclipse is really quiet and at WOT doesn't even sound like a car, rather a turbine sound. It's odd, but cool.

)P.S Just got off the phone with Nelson ledges. The owner told me that out of a FunDay you get at least 2 hours of racing (and it's for $120) More than running with NASA. You get an instructor, but later if you feel comfortable you're on your own. After talking to him, it does seem better than a flat out day or running with nasa (don't get me wrong, it's great) , but at nelson ledges it seems a lot cheaper, and more seat time. Plus they usually have 30-40 cars at the track, couple run groups, so the track is pretty open for yourself (no traffic) At mid-ohio we had 40 cars in my session
Racing starts at 10, til 4. In Warren (about an hour away) $5 to watch. I will definately be there with my friend with S4
