Funny thing about all of this is that Scott has not said a word about all of this on the boards.

David, I am (and have always been) very happy with my car and the tunes from your shop. The proof is in my sig. Correct me if I'm wrong but I can't think of any other 20g-LT's in the 10's (other than your RS or Curt Brown).

And about gas mileage..... Who really cares about gas mileage on a performance car? I think it is irrelevant. How many Ferrari, Lambo, and Viper owners do you see or hear of complaining about fuel efficiency? If you are concerned about gas mileage don't drive an Evo. Drive a Honda Insight.

You know guys, I have a reputation of being a dick, *******, arrogant etc. I will admit to being some of those some of the time but it isn't ME all the time. You get sick of the same stuff over and over and over after 19 years of doing this.

I hate to seem arrogant about this but there have been a few snide little remarks made by Kyle and I have grown tired of picking up on them. He called Trent out in a street race already with this Scott's car. Nothing came of it.

As you all know, 10.6's is respectable and 135 mph is freaking crazy fast, combine with that the fact that is is done on 93 octane fuel NO ALKY, NO NOTHING and it is amazing. Hell I am amazed by it and we built it/tuned it.

I am making this challenge to end the remarks and put an end to it.

I don't know if I know Kyle or Scott if I saw them. I know I tuned Scott's car at one point after Switzer did. I do not remember it but I have notes on it and the maps from myself and Switzer. I would say from looking at the two maps I wasn't asked about fuel mileage, looks like I just cleaned up the timing/fueling a little and that was it.

I do feel that making a car get the absolute best fuel mileage possible is VERY important AND part of the tuning process. Almost 2 years ago when I tuned Scott's car I obviously wasn't doing that. Now any car I tune I work on the fuel mileage first and then tune it at WOT.

My 9 second daily driver has gotten 27 mpg. Trent has gotten 31 mpg. I would guess, even though Bobby says he doesn't care, if he drove his car easy he would easily exceed 25 mpg with it.

Anyway, I don't need to argue about this. I will put my money where my mouth is and see what happends.

Sorry to get this mess in this thread.

I would just like to take a minute to clear some things up.

David, I want you to know that I have all the respect in the world for you. You have made an excellent business and I have always been impressed with your work. Never once have I said you are bad at what you do, nor said that you, your company, your tuning abilities, or your parts are bad, etc.

This car we are speaking of is a fast car period. 10.6's.... probably not. I have no clue what it runs, nor what it puts out on a dyno. I am impressed as well at Trent's car. I have never said that it is slow, or that Scott's car is faster. The real reason I wanted to line the cars up, and prompted Trent was because I wanted to see where Scott's car was as far as power and time. Never once have I taunted/bragged etc, or said I am better than you David. Again, I respect you and your abilities as well as your empire and customer base.

David, I appologise if you have been offended by any comments that I may have, or may not have made. All my business is conducted on the side, and it is not my full time job. I work as a Mechanical Engineer in the aerospace industry full time. I have worked on many chassi dynos, and have spent countless hours on engine dynos. I have experience with much more than just dsm's and evos.

Trudat!

Where you at Scott? I'm calling you out! Not to race, just show evidence that you are still alive.

Kyle, aerospace industry? What specifically do you do?

We have a few fellas on the local board in the aviation industry.

Kyle, fair enough. That is not what I have been gathering, I appreciate the kind words and the respect you have just given me, really.

What I heard, so you know, is a basic line of "sheet talking" about how I can't tune a car and how Scott's mileage sucked and he had to go to you to get it fixed. Then I saw the comment you just made one page back to Dadriva about how if he gets another car with an AEM "he should bring it to you so it can get some fuel mileage". When I read that it backed up what I had been hearing.

I would love to see Scott's car and Trent's car line up. The shootout is the 18t-19th. You should come down, put on the dyno for the competition on the 18th and then come back and run it on the 19th.

There will be no problems with me, I'd like to meet you actually to put your face/name together. Scott too.

Thanks for your response, no hard feelings on my part.

I Currently work for Goodrich Aerospace designing De-icing systems for aircraft. Lately we have been working on a lot of military stuff.

I have not spoken to Scott for a while either. He has been really busy with is new job and finishing up work at his shop as I understand.

David, Like I mentioned in my previous post, I do respect you 100%. I honestly believe in conducting business as professional as possible, and dont think it is right to "talk sheet" about others inside or outside of business, its just not me, but I can understand how things that are said can get easily misconstrued at times, which I am sure that you have witnessed in your life, as well with your business.

I will be at the shootout with a number of cars, one of which should run low 11's or high 10's that I just built on pump... hopefully it is broken in by that time. If Scott is up to it, im sure he will come out.

I have seen a number of your calibrations on various systems, and I know that you are good at what you do. It is obvious to me and the entire community that you are extremely talented with these cars. I will introduce myself to you at the shootout and hopefully we can have a nice talk about everything. I hope to one day have my own shop and dyno, and do as well as you have in this industry. Perhaps we could work together instead of against each other. The fact is that I have a passion for speed, and if I can make money doing it, its all the better!

If you really want a shop and a dyno, let's talk. I know where you can buy one.

I am busy as hell at the shootout but would like to meet you so stop by and introduce yourself.
