As I'm sure you have already, Scott at S&S would be n excellent source for info.

I suspect he is the one alredy pushing you in the direction of something bigger. I agree.
A 2.3 and a 35r seem to be a great match. The 30r just doesn't have the top-end wail of the 35r. Either way it'll be bad ***!

I vote for 2.0l with t3 P67(37r) from Shearer.

With a 2.3l I would go with t4 40r or 42r.

Here is the situation - input appreciated -
Motor is already decided -

BR 2.3 + Machined head + valves/springs/retainers + 272 cams

Turbo options -

GT30R
FPRED
GT3065
GT35R

The first two would be significantly cheaper than the last two. Dave is guiding me away from the 30R as it would run out of steam on the 2.3 where the FPRed would have a better top end. The 3065 seems like a very good fit but thats another 1k more than the first two and the 35R seems like it would be more power than I am looking for out of the car

Personally I would rather have more power and just not use it all then not enough power when you need it

(not sure if that really makes sense, but you get the idea)

Good point. It's the better to have and not need than need and not have theory.

All of those are good choices. I really think the 35r is a good choice wit da two free.

When it's done, it will be................................................ .. P I M P.
