If you have a front lsd to put in I'm a pro at doing it now.
I've only had to do it about 6 times now on my car.

BTW, I am now a big fan of using RP Max Gear 75-90 for tranny fluid. After having most of my tranny fluid go into my tcase and running on 1.5q of tranny fluid at an autox, Mid-Ohio, and a drive to and dyno tune at Buschur...my t-case and tranny seem to be ok.
The whole problem with my blown lsd was caused by using a jdm carrier that is a tiny bit smaller on the tranny side. Due to it being smaller it wasn't sealing tight..causing my tranny fluid to leak into my tcase
There is no doubt if I would've had thin synchromesh type fluid I'd have noticable tranny/tcase damage before my diff blew.

I might be up for a road trip to help out, I may be doing the same operation myself during the off-season. I'd much rather practice on someone else's ride!

If you want to spend a ton of cash. An RS diff is half the cost or less.

I wouldn't waste your money on a Quaife. I was contemplating buying one myself when my RS diff shattered. Then I found out my diff blew due to other issues. Many high hp cars use the RS diff. David Buschur uses it in his drag car if that tells you anything. You can buy an RS diff easily for 500. A Quaife will cost 1300+. One other thing to consider. The Quaife lifetime warranty will not transfer if you buy it used UNLESS you have the receipt. Even then..I've heard Quaife has denied a few warranties.
I know "Evolutionary" has a used Quaife he'd sell as does another member on Evom (posted in the classifieds for $1350) (he is firm on the price).
If you want an RS diff "94awdcoupe" usually has some. That is where I've bought mine and that is who Greg got his from. He rebuild trannies and tcases...and also buys parts from japan.
I kind of hate to give him any more business though considering he's the one that sold me a "jdm" carrier and told me it'd work. Obviously he was wrong and he cost me $600 by selling me a part that caused to diff to blow.

Where can I get a NEW RS one?

If any of you are looking to have a tranny rebuilt....When I get home I am taking my tranny up to Columbis to Shep Racing to have mine rebuilt and updated. The cost is about 800 bucks but the tranny will be bullet proof. This is the same shop Bushcur uses. I am driving mine up there dropping it off and going back up to pickit up. They claim to have about a 3 day turn around. The tranny will come back looking like new and they guarantee it will shift like butter.

While the tranny is out I want to put in the LSD.....so please help me find one.

Thanks guys.

Well..if you want to spend a little extra on a new RS diff just get it from Shep or Jon@TRE. Last time I checked Shep didn't have any to sell....but Jon did.
BTW, Buschur doesn't use Shep to rebuild their trannies anymore. They also offer a tranny rebuild service...they call it the Buschwacker. Shep, TRE, and Buschur all do basically the same things to the tranny for a similar price.
