Did this creep just start happening to you in the cold weather?

not sure. I just recently fixed my boost leaks, so it wasn't reaching peak boost efficiancy under a 5K rpm load until now, which BTW is where i start to creep up to 24 PSI.

Boost creep results from inefficient wastegate flow. Cold temperatures enhance the problem because the more dense air increases combustability. By opening up the waste gate flow regions you allow more flow and the creep ceases.
Here is what happens.....
The restriction caused by, in most cases, the O2 housing waste gate side is not large enough to allow enough exhaust flow. The back pressure created by the reduced flow causes the turbo to continue to spin resulting in creeping boost pressure.
The solution....
Remove the O2 housing and hog out the waste gate side so about the size of a golf ball. Idealy you want the wastegate side to flow as well as possible. If you can get away with porting out the housing a bit more, go for it.
Mark.....I do not recommend going to Buschur's yet. For the mods you have on your car a simple street tune will suffice. Once you get substantial engine work and a bigger turbo as well as the compliment of supporting mods....then go see him for a tune.
I have my laptop running well againg and I would be more than happy to street tune your car free of charge. I hope you have a wide band and the ability to log boost. If so, we can get you running veyr well in no time.

I have a spare stock O2 housing from a IX and a spare Megan sitting here. I also have a carbide and air. If someone wants to pay me to hog one out, I can do that for you and you can give me back your unmodified housing. I'll do it for a very reasonable price.
You must be real bored... Whenever I port an o2 I go into it with the mindset, that its not going to be profitable per the time spent, but just another part out there with my name on it. If you are grinding cast iron wear a mask.

Nick.....we should get together some time and do some tuning together. When are you going to get that RED in the car?
I want to see what it is like. I may upgrade from my green to the red if the spool can remain close to stock.

That is how I felt about porting the cast exhaust mani. It took FOREVER. I suppose the increase in spool was worth it though.
As for the o2 housings, the stainless ones port out pretty quickly. I would hate to port a stocker.
