Just wondering if anyone on here purchased my old evo from Carmax in Naperville,IL or knows someone who did. I could let the owner know what exactly has been done to the car or any changes to dealer may have done to it before selling it. Considering that the car was custom tuned for the mods I had this may help them out

 

I met a kid a couple weeks ago from the ville his was blue. He said he had a boost controller and that was it. I think it was an 03 and had a boost gauge on the steering column. is that yours?

 

It might be, do you remember if the windows were tinted at all or if the car looked lowered. Mine had a Hallman MBC and an Autometer boostgauge on the steering wheel, along w/ a Blitz TT. The dealer didn't know about the cams or reflash though. It also had an AEM intake and full exhaust, but like I said they may have removed that stuff prior to putting it out for sale. Did the kid mention if his car seemed fast

 

actually he said it was slow. He said it was only making 15 lbs. He tried messing with the mbc but had no luck. No tints.

Yeah he was a young kid maybe 17 or 18, and I don't think he was mechanical

 

Yeah 15psi can make your car feel slow. Definately not my old car, for all I know it may not have even sold

 

If your car was flashed for intake exhaust fmic then the boost controller probably needs to be turned up. If the car has all those parts oem there is going to be more restriction on airflow so the mbc should be turned up

 

well as far as carmax's website goes as of 5 mins ago it is still for sale if it is a 03 14k miles blue.
