Putnam Park HPDE Oct 8th and 9th!
The HPDE is for (High Perfoemance Driving Expierence), it is a 2 day event, 160 minutes (8 20 Minute sessions) of track time on the 2 mile road course. NASA pro racing is putting it on, come on out, lots of evos, and every other car you can imagine. There is still time to register!!!

I highly reccomend their events. If you want some good track time and want to actually runs for times and not just with an instructor, Go for the TT or Time Trail groups.

That's actually last years time. I didn't get any clear timed laps this weekend, but I'm pretty sure I dipped into at least the 22's on saturday. I was passing everything in sight!
You guys will have a blast, it's such a fun track.

Well besides way too many cars and getting screwed out of half the track time I paid for, it went great. I think the longest session we had was a whopping 15 minutes. The rest were 10 minutes although they were supposed to be 20 min. The checkers were out before my tires even came up to temp.
That sucks. How many cars were there? Don't they have a registration limit? Last weekend we had 4 sessions each day 15, 20, 30, and 30 minutes. I think there were around 100 cars total. How long did the Corvette wreck keep the track Red?
My time was 1:24, not transponder recorded, the old stopwatch in the stands. Now that I think of it, the time we were actually on the track was not that much. I would have a pop-pop issue with my alky kit not being tuned, but overall I had a blast! It was nice to meet new people! look forward to the next one. My serpinetine belt was chewed up as I put it on the trailer. good thing it didn't come apart at speed, no power steering. I left at lunch, on day 2.

One NASA official mentioned that there were 2 regions combined for this one event, so I guess that was the problem. DAy one even got started a little late because of the line just to get into the track.
Gridding was a mess on day one too because of so many cars and no where to go. By day two there was extra help and things began to go smoother. No doubt in my mind that the problems, wrecks included, were due to too many cars.Smokedmustang,
Well I guess I know who you are now. You had the only Evo that showed up on a trailer.
I had a good time either following you or getting chased by you. I hope you get your engine woes ironed out and hopefully I see you at another event.Take care!
