Maybe for the morning session. I got some stuff to do later in the day. I love the morning / afternoon split. Either you can show up early and leave by noon. Or sleep in and get there at noon.

Downtown Chicago? Probably 4 hours. Give or take. If you do the morning session there is hardly any traffic all the way up there. Definitely a good time though. If you did the morning session you could be back home by 5:00pm. There have been 4 or 5 Evo guys from here that have gone and will attest to it being an awesome track.

I agree, this place is a blast and the events are awesome. They are run very smoothly and everyone gets enough track time to go home tired (but still kinda wanting a little more).

I wish I could be there.

What else would one need to start racing at events like these(besides a fast car)?

Equipment, liscenses, membership fees etc..

If I raced my ralliart I wouldn't be too competitive this year but next year with more engine work I'd want to.

Events like these are not at all about being competitive. They are untimed and used to have fun and improve your driving skills. People bring anything from kit cars to riced out civics to spec Miatas to Evos to Corvettes.

All you really need to show up is a car that will pass a basic safety inspection, and your drivers license. You might want to bring your own helmet too but I think we take skanky loaners to these events.

Your Ralliart would not look out of place if you showed up. You will have fun.

If you are planning on going pre-register.

Anything special about the safety inspection and why a car wouldn't pass? I got a bike helmet I could use

Or my dads harley helmet.

Interesting. Do you have to push your car to the limit or can you take it fairly easy?

As long as it is DOT approved (sticker on the back) you should be good.

Sweet deal, this is so tempting but I'd have to drive from the badger game to a party in kenosha and wake up to drive to shawno
