thank god for indiana.... knock on wood haven't come across a cop yet that gave a damn about exaust etc. the civic i used to have, i would run race fuel with a down pipe only. got pulled over once for 93 in a 45 (had to embarass a ricer eclipse) and got a verbal warning - granted i did inform him up front about the gun in the glove box and he appreciated the honesty.

this month though, i have gotten 3 tickets....

speeding 49/35 on my gsxr 750
"failure to operate in a prudent manner" aka i unfortunately found out jumping waves/wakes is apparently illegal in indiana
speeding 40/25 300 ft from the water in my integra with a jetski behind it, the stupid CO said when i saw him i sped up to 40 from 35... don't think i could really go anywhere so i don't know what he was talking about

none were in the evo, but it will probably still end up killing me on insurance unless i can get out of the last speeding ticket somehow or differ it

expensive month though

 

I have been lucky and haven't been hastled at all yet....I drive around the same area's you got your tickets. Sorry to hear, that sucks and the cops were just being asses. I did read about the exhasut law trying to get passed in IL but didn't know that it had, also tints in the front are illegal but those kind of things are up to the officer that pulls you over. There is no way the obstruction of view with the wing can hold up in court since every evo come from the factory like that. Get a good lawyer!

 

Its probably because you're a broad. Some cops pull people over just to see who's inside or even just to see the car.

yup, i was ticketed a couple weeks ago off of 62 (algonquin road), she wasnt too harsh on me, but i get pulled over and harrased all the time.

a few days ago i was in my friends car and there was a problem with the car and we were on 355 going 35mph, pulled over cop didnt even ask what was wrong, just commented on illegal exhaust, no front plate, telling us going this slow could get people killed. and we explained we were just trying to get off at the next exit. it was horrible, he made us get a flat bed and bring the car back.

 

No issues at all...but I drive like an old man most of the time and I don't give police extra reasons to look at me ie no front plate etc etc

 

Yea that sucked ... and you forgot, i got a ticket for "driving too slow"

 

and a warning for illegal exhaust and no front plate.

 

Guess I'll add my tickets to the thread I've had the car ~3 years:

1 tint warning in oswego while driving

2 no front plate tickets while parked in wrigleyville (one time I had the plate in the front window, still not good enough)

1 tint parking ticket in wrigleyville, another I got out of because I happen to be walking up to my car as the cop was looking at it.

1 speeding and 1 tint ticket on lake shore drive, same stop.

I've since removed the illegal tint and put my plate on. I've been thinking of removing the wing just to prevent further hassles but I'm not sure

I need my parents to retire out of state so I can register it somewhere else

They like to pull me over and I dont drive like an a**.
Then once pulled over they like to keep me there for as long as possible last time I sat for 40mins while he gave me 3 tickets...one a repeat of the one I gave him as my "liscense" b/c it was posted the week prior. Then had me sign like 4 papers (all the tickets then an Ibond) probobly just incase I become famous some day...then gave me 3 diffrent court dates...probobly just so he has the pleasure of my company on 3 diffrent occasions...

To all the guys who say broads get out of tickets...I happen to be living proof thats bs!

And Dave...anytime you want to get your a** handed to you again....IM GAME!

 

wtf guys i know 2 kids 1 has a saleen and another a cobra they both have strait pipes w/dumps and their supercharger at idle is louder than any rice burner and they dont get pulled over.....GAY....me im thinking about keeping my exhuast stock when i get my evo...

 

ive gotten a ticket for blowing a stop sign, and driving through a barricade. im fighting both tickets since they were bull**** and pulled me over because they couldnt get me for speeding. which i probably was.

 

just put your front plates on.

No fornt plate just gives them another reason to pull you over.
I have it on mine. I know it doesnt look great it's hell of a lot better than gettin pulled over for stupid crap like that.
