Want decent snow and ice and crappy weather for transporting the little one, but want something that wll be halfway ok when its dry and 30 out too.
I'm really happy with the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's that I have on the car. Driving back from work yesterday on a basically unplowed 106th between Lantern and Eller, and the tires were great in the snow.

On dry, they perform very well (especially when it was a bit warmer before we hit this cold spell)

Thats what I ended up going for

Getting them installed tomorrow at lunch!

Was this you? This was one of the winter reviews I found earlier today. I was gonna get the Ice-X but they couldn't get any so I found these and stepped it up a notch. I think I am gonna be happy with them

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution More Tire Reviews for This Vehicle
Buy/More Info
Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2
Miles driven on tires: 5,200
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Driving Condition:
Combined Highway/City
Driving Style: Spirited

With the all wheel drive of the Evo, these tires have been incredible all winter. The level of dry grip is also much better than I expected from a dedicated winter tire. I would recommend these tires to anyone looking to drive a high performance car in winter months.

It wasnt me, but for the putting around I do from home to work, and the occasional foray into the wilderness to reach the shooting range, they hold up great in the dry and in the snow.

Been less than 24 hours and I am impressed. Doing 100000x better on my packed snow street and the wet and dry streets to work than the stock tires. They instill MUCH more confidence in the witner than stock tires. Grab MUCH better.

Another month or two and I'll have to make the choice of summer tires...

I love buying tires
