Speaking of snow... what tires are you local guys running on your evos in the winter around here? Weather is so weird around here I don't want just a snow tire, but its in dire need of something other than the advans. Gonna drive the beast tomorrow but plan to go purchase some tires at lunch for the evo and I am undecided on the tires to get.... Want decent snow and ice and crappy weather for transporting the little one, but want something that wll be halfway ok when its dry and 30 out too.

well I have the stock Advans and had a thing at the faigrounds today for work and I live 5 miles away and it took me 20 minutes with no traffic to get home. They suck in the snow and are terribly hard in the cold and have no traction on dry when its cold. Just wanted to try and run them till the summer and get some decent summer tires, but now that its snowing and gonna stay cold I am gonna go ahead and put winter tires on it.

reading mixed but mostly decent reviews on the continental. I think blizzaks are too agressive for our winters. thinking about the ASX as well....

 

I run michelin pilot alpin PA2s usually starting right before thanksgiving and they are so nice in the snow and in the dry that I tend to run them until right before summer starts... probably not the best for treadwear but hey im lazy.
