my evo has only seen rain 1 time, and that was when i met a few guys at bw's a while back. so i really couldn't tell you about the snow... and judging by the number (or lack of) evo's i see out very often i think alot of people are kinda the same way and don't daily drive them

 

The evos handle just fine in the snow. Previous to moving here in 2004 Id never driven in snow, and with the michelin pilot alpins on ive never been in trouble.

 

That kinda sucks. I see several a day. Lots of new IX's since they have such good pricing in CA. got my wifes IX GSR for 27999 and tax. SWEET!!

 

thanks bro. The wife was wanting a FX45 or the Evo IX. so ofcourse I told her she would be fine in a AWD evo in the winter. Showed her the cool little ACCD button that says "snow".
When we move it will be to "Koontz Lake" near South Bend IN.. Its so far in the woods they only plow some of the side streets and only the main roads get salt. I'm used to the snow growing up in Gary IN. But she is from the Philipines, no snow there.

Well, wish me luck, I'm going to race her IX with my VIII tonight at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I know the IX's are faster, but I put a hallman MBC and did a few adjustments with the tactrix cable for 100 octane race gas.

Yo Dude, very cool, you should try to make it Saturday if not keep your eye on this area. I tell ya that Carmel cop across the street was giving us the eye when we were lined up. lol...not sure if you saw him

no i didnt see the cop..you cant go a block without seeing a cop in carmel thou..thats why i always accelerate to the speed limit and then stop..haha.. Saturday at BW3's..i will definitly try and make it.. how is the car running..any mods yet?

 

AMS is doing a few mods, hopefully take it in next week. Hope to see.
