Advice on Denver shop for fluid changes/dealer?

Hey all,

I just moved to Denver and am living in temporary housing (nothing available to work on my car). I need to change my transmission/transfer case/diff fluids and would like to know of a good shop that could do this. I would prefer to stay away from Dealers unless they are mod friendly. Please help.

When I had my Evo 8 I took it to Quality Mitsubishi. They were real friendly there.
Address:
6120 South Broadway
Littleton CO 80121
(303)738-9700

Otherwise I take my Z to MAC Autosport in Parker:
Address:
6268 East Pine Lane
Parker CO 80138

+1 for Quality Mitsu.

Another shop is CarZ Performance
7895 West 14th Ave.
Lakewood, CO 80214
Phone:
720-214-5095

One of the guys that works there owns an Evo. Met him at a couple meets and he seems like a real good guy. If I ever have anything I can't do myself I would probably go there.

Street Concepts should be able to help you out. They are a vendor on here, very friendly, and work on tons of evos.

Help

Thanks all,

I appreciate it. I'll call all 3 and get a price on the fuild changes. I am leaning towards carz as they aslo have a dyno and tune. Hope to meet some of you at the Vishnu Dyno day in February.

MAC has a Dynojet and one of the best UTEC tuners in the state.

Nick is a good tuner but last time I was there, Nick said they don't touch the timming at all utilizing the UTEC. That is the reason why I'm still running an SAFCII. So I'm not sure if they're the best UTEC tuners in the state.

Help

Thanks all,

Friday night, my car would not start. Even after jumping it, no go. Saturday I tried again and the negative terminal post split and I lost all power. I guess I fried the battery. I had to tow it and Carz was open. They are going to check it out. This weather is definitely a challenge. I called Shiv for advice but no response yet. Man that sucks. Has this cold start issue happened to anyone? Whit the xede, the stock ECU still controls the cold start maps so it should never be a tuning issue, should it?

That was what Nick told me and to another STI owner. I was amazed that they didn't touch the timming at all. I was all into the UTEC thing until Nick said we don't touch the timming. I talked to 9 second racing and they told me to stay with the SAFCII if my car was running good with it. My numbers are as good as others with UTEC if I'm not running a cat, so I figure, why spend the extra money.

Don't blame you. I was planning on running the SAFC when I had my Evo. Does the job till you get into bigger mods. I'm gonna have to ask Nick about that next time I see him.
