Finally happened

My clutch is slipping. Bought it with 21k, now at 46k. Got an appointment at AMS for an Exedy on Monday.

That is all.

.

I have 39k on the ticker and bought it brand new. It has gone through 2 seasons at the drag strip, but still holding strong. That will change when the cams get put in. Unfortunately not any time soon since I was in an accident last week when the snow came. Ironically, I had scheduled to have AMS do a clutch, cam, headstud installation for the 23rd, but had wrecked on that day.

Hector: You going with the organic or carbon (twin or triple) disk? BTW, I still haven't put that o2 housing I bought from ya. It has been way too cold haha.

Nope, drove the car hard. Got the car with 21k on the clock....maybe the first person babied it.

The weird thing the slipping is hit or miss. It will slip when it feels like it.

Oh well, new clutch...YEEEEHAAWWW!

How much is too much? I'm just wondering what the labor cost is from them. I have 33K on mine with no problems yet, but it's inevitable. Thanks, bro.

Labor from them (with the special) was $425....normally $5xx. I ended up getting the Exedy stage 1 organic since I am not going to do too much more performance-wise since we are in the process of buying a house. That was $500. All together it is going to cost almost $1100 that I really didn't want to spend this close to moving in.

But I knew I was on "borrowed time" with my clutch so it really wasn't a shock when it started to slip on me. Plus I am thanking God it came around tax refund time.
