I'll be out at Gateway this Sat/Sunday with the PCA guys. Probably be the only Evo, but I'm ok with that! I don't mind lapping Cayman's and 911's all weekend.

He used to thrive on telling me consistantly what a POS my Evo was when I worked with him. I hope you hotlap all or most of the porsches out there!

 

That 'back of the oval' comment makes more sense now! Didn't know there was NHRA out there this weekend. I'm sure we'll be able to hear it! The infield track is hot from 8:30-5pm; and usually free to spectate.

I ran in rungroups 1 and 2 in the Fall PCA event; actually didn't get passed the entire 2 days but did a lot of lapping. Hoping to be in 2 or 3 this time as I need some practice with getting passed and letting cars around (sounds odd).

 

I've watched several of the different clubs/associations running, esp. when a good friend of mine ran his Sti. Dang shame you have to pratice letting cars pass you-LOL Sure will be nice to see an EB Evo out there instead- Good luck and BE safe!

Wicked, thx. That's a different angle than I've got! It was a good event, I gained a lot of time on my laps (not that I was timing or anything). There was one incident with an older 911 that shut down the track, but they guy came out fine. Figuring his car is toast though.
A boxster nearly spun in front of me in turn 7, but he recovered nicely and let me pass!

Hey I am up for a meet. I actually have boomn29's first evo. I live about an hour and a half, but I am definitely up for going anywhere. My friend and I are going to ww3 in Indianapolis this saturday. Anyone from here going? I was also wanting to go up to the St. Louis gateway international speedway for their friday midnight madness thing.
