I am down for anything. Lets get this going.... Everyone can come to good old effingham, il if you want. I can have a big cookout, plenty of alcohol if needed. People can spend the night at my house if needed or I can get cheap rooms at the hampton inn, hilton garden inn, or even the holiday inn in town. ($30-50 range)

Btw I am just throwing this out there since I don't live in st. louis(don't know the area good enough to plan an event in st. louis) Also I have contacts with robispec..(actually I have 4 sets of his coilovers/lots of other parts of his at my house) He will be returning to this area soon, if anyone needs some suspension stuff done. Let me know.

Hey, I just got a brand new 06 Evo IX SSL (Silver). I live in the Brentwood/Clayton area. I didn't realize there were so many Evo people in St. Louis. I've only seen one white Evo VIII in the WashU parking lot. Not sure who that is. Are you guys still planning a meet?

Also, I'm a total newb and have never worked on a car before. I first would like to install a Turbo Timer. What's the closest place I can go to by me to get one done?...

Finally, mine gear grinds when I shift real fast into 5th gear. Does yours do that too? I always have to granny shift the 5th gear to not grind...

5th gear does that - just give it time. Usually ya don't need to slam it into 5th @ 108mph...

Install the TT yourself, it's a snap. Check out the how-to sections. There's no need to pay anybody. There's a plug-n-play attachment that's a cinch; albeit's a bit tight under the steering column.
Blitz makes a small one that's < $100 that's simple and also a lap timer. HKS makes a few that'll display speed, rpm's etc if you splice into your ecu. Had one once and it was really nice having a digital readout along with max values, but splicing into the ecu isn't for everyone.

We're just really shy. I'm actually scared of meets, all the unknown peoples. Frightening.

The how-to section has a couple of good write-up for TT installs...as Boomn' pointed out. If after you get your TT and the harness, and you still find it daunting, PM me, I would be willing to help you out...I have tools and a small garage to work in...beware Valley Park is pretty kuntree, though

5th in a five speed will smooth out...mine did after a couple of thousand miles.

GoBot is always at a wedding...wasn't that your excuse last time someone started trying to get a meet up???

Kinda forgot that this Sunday was Dad's day. Ooops...guess that day's out.

If this Saturday is too soon, howzaboutz the following one (6/23)?

I could just put my e-foot down and say it would be at the SoCo Hooters (seems to be the most requested location) on JUNE 23rd, 2007

Hooters of South County
7517 S. Lindbergh Blvd
St. Louis, MO 63125
314-845-1899

This is a week-and-a-half's notice...is that enough??? Start showing up say 1.00pm-ish???

Is there anyone that could live with this???

Are there any auto body places close by Brentwood that I can take my car to for TT installs and other stuff, if I wanted to get it done in the future?
So what first accessory/upgrade should I get anyways... A carbon fiber front lip looks really cooooollll...

Blah... Ok, you've convinced me. I'll try installing one myself. I've never worked on a car before but I guess there's a first time for everything, huh?

Also, do all the TT's have a display that goes into your car? I would prefer one that is concealed... If not, the Apexi and the Blitz ones look appealing.

Its pretty easy the 23 would work for me, as just about any day with a weeks notice. Is there a better time for you boomn.?

Boomn is interested in coilovers, Whiteevo05 needs some things replaced, anyone else want stuff done by Robispec? I will give him a call tomarrow.

Yes Effingham does suck.... I was just suggesting it to get something going, as I don't know St. louis that well(except the stadiums, airport, and most importantly the casino...)
