Hello, I just recently traded in My Sti for an evo viii MR. The Evo I just purchased has a BOV and a cold air intake(it's the spongy kind and is green) With the Scoobie I'd hit the next gear at 3500 rpm and not have to worry about hitting turbo is there a way of making the evo do that? like everytime I put the gas I just hear the turbo winding up I'd like for it to hit at a certain RPM instead. maybe removing those products? and not all the time

 

Open filter intake or intake pipe = retune. It throws the MAF signal off (lean condition most of the time) because it modifes the vorticies produced by the stock airbox/pipe. Just so happens I can assist you in that re-tune .

Anyway, ended up racing a Blue Cobra at Strictly Modified tonight. It had all the bolt ons including pulley and exhaust, intake, and everything else needed and also it had drag radials. Anyways, I ended up tying it on the first run and then the second run he got me by 1/4 of a car cuz he got a little more traction lol, after doing about 5 burnouts...but yea, the guys at the finish line said that it was basically bumper to bumper, he just had me by a couple of feet. GRR so malik, does a broken junk pos evo tie a fast cobra??
