Mitsu Dealer Warranty?

I want to add TBE, MBC, drop in filter, and a tune to my IX. But I'm scared about loosing my warranty. Is there any Mitsu dealers in the Chicago land area that are lenient towards minor mods?

I side with Mitsu on this one, a tune and a MBC should void your powertrain warranty.

ohh my bad i just read it again, for minor stuff it will be fine, half that stuff is a piece of cake to switch on and off so if you have a major problem then put the stock parts on and drop the boost to stock, to answer your question though maxmadson on ogden is pretty straight to my understanding

From my exprerience with Mitsubishi dealers, if they find any mods in your car, they will use that as a way to deny your warranty. Yes, they are not suppose to, but they do it anyways. They know that most people won't bother trying to fight them and hire a lawyer for smaller warranty issues. The dealer I went to in the west suburbs was trying to avoid doing the synchro TSB because my car was lowered. I calmly talked to the service manager and was able to get them to do the warranty work. But if my mods were power mods (eg. exhaust, boost controller, intake), according the service manager, there was no way they wer going to honor the warranty.

Honestly, there has been no definitive answer when it comes to a turbo timer voiding a warranty. Back in California, a Subaru dealership denied warranty on a WRX for having a turbo timer. It's really up to the service manager of the dealership to make the call.

Yeah, I bought my car stock but the previous owner had it modified.

He must have had an aftermarket air intake on it and put it back to stock because he used hose clamps that were non-oem.

The service manager went out there to check it out and said, "Yeah, that's no problem, we have no problem honoring the warranty" - It all depends on the dealership and the service manager.

All you can have on the car, is boost gauge and turbo timer.

Just saying' TBE is fine sometimes even lowering springs (depends on the dealer and what needs to be done ) lets say you have suspension problems and you come to them ' and they see that your car sits on different springs/coils they wont fix it. MBC is a big no! as far for warranty work, thats the first thing they'll check as far for mech. problems.

as far me? Last time I was at the dealer when I bought the car.
