sarah, i think its interesting how you say you supposeablely broke, cause i remember seeing evon and all at mod. the convoy freaking sucked this year. getting cut off right at the beginning def sucked and if it makes you feel any better i got lost from the ones leading a few times. the consruction relly hurt the convoy all together. fred flying through chicago didn't help much either. i do feel bad, that the convoy got so broken up, but at least in the end we all made it will non break downs.


congrads on the win. your evo was very clean. glad to see it didn't goto the one 3000/ slealth with the killer paint job again. glad to know they at more then just paint. haha.

***also sorry to anyone else that got kinda screwed in the convoy from ams to mod. with such heavy traffic in the get go things got kinda screwy. granted some of you guys passed us during that first toll, because of you ipasses, still none the less definitely not what i had in mind. although that construction didn't help either. sorry to all those that got kind screwed in the process.

this years MOD was ok. I honestly think last year's was better ( AMS's highway monster leading the convoy!). But I still had a good time and I brought my g/f along to show her the plant tour and put a little MITSU in her! haha the traffic did split the group up pretty bad but for the most part we had our little pack together. Why is freddy getting singled out for speeding?! i'll step forward and admit ,I too was...cough*cough....driving above the speed limit. lol I was keeping Lily's car as a reference point as to how far I was getting behind. that dang Lancer turned into a little red dot and I gave up trying to catch up! 120 wtq?! impressive. more tq than hp.

Thanks to everyone who met up at AMS for the convoy (special thanks to santiago for leading) and thanks to the MOD CREW for being soo freaking nice to us!

 

I missed MOD last year.....

First off I would like to say MOD 07 still kicked ***. It is cool to see a manufacturer really cares and notices its enthusiasts.

My observations:

Construction sucks!

Tina aka Lily03 is way hyper....can I have what you were taking?

All the free stuff was way cool. Even got a booster seat for my daughter! Almost missed that one.

Was cool seeing some of the old faces from the first meets I went to, not to mention hanging out with the regulars.

The only thing I was really disappointed with was the lack of Evos here. It seems like we have had regular meets with more Evos than were at MOD.

 

We had a great time out there again this year. Great turnout on the Evo's.

 

Had a great time as always, and was nice seeing some new faces..Also i got some nice things this year

 

Yeah I had a good time. I have to say I expected a little more though.. Like oh... an Evo X for example. Anyone know why we didn't get to see the new car?

 

Yea I was really disappointed they didn't bring the evo x. Wasn't it at the california mod?

 

I admit to speeding... Geezzz had to keep up to santiago and freddy some how. I topped about 125 and backed off. For just being a lil OZ Rally, she's sure got a lot of get up and go. haha.

I was soo freaking hyper, because of making dyno list. That and because I am a Mother to my 9 month old son. So, obviously my love for racing, autoXing, tuning and etc had been put on a hold for a lil bit. This year I've only raced once, and been to one other meet other then the pre-event and MOD. So as you can only imagine I was completely stoked, hence why I was sooo hyper. Sorry.

Not sure why the X wasn't there. Last I knew it was guna be there. I agreed it was somewhat of a disappoint because the X wasn't there, but still better then last MOD. I'm glad to see more and more people keep coming out to MOD. Thats what we need to happen if we want our MOD to be more like Cali's.

 

oh and btw... NEVER let freddy lead unless you feel like doing jumps in speed of 100+ or just wanna drive that fast in general. hahaa.
