Does anyone know how much it costs to get a spare key made for the evo? Is there a place where i can buy a blank and just get it cut, or is it something that I have to get done at the stealership?

Probably have to go to the dealership as I believe these keys have those RFID tags in them so means $$$.

Is the immobilizer in the keyless entry or in the actual key itself since the key is a little wider at the base and covered in rubber?

Has anyone got this done? Trying to get a baseline price so i know about how much to pay.

 

yea its in the key i think there like 70

Thank you for the compliment.. I tried to keep her looking her best while still having the bite to back it up...

As for getting another.. Prolly not.. This was my second one and I have lost the thrill for that love/hate relationship the Evo puts out. It was a fun and thrilling journey with 'em (VIII/IX), but now I move to conquer the likes of mud puddles and mountains... I will leave the speed to you guys...

lol ur still welcome hehe atleast ull have me and action to keep u company lol and i yea i knoww the feeling of loosing the thrill unfortuneally im starting to loose it for the evos and my eyes are going else where.... and she has to go to the shop tomorrow burning smell comming from the heat guard for the exhaust mani so im thinking its something with that or head gasket :-( the love hate is wearing thin.......... i feel u
