Laser Deceptor... Installed and Reviewed... With Pictures (56k... go away)

Hey All,

Well, one day I decided that I was tired of all of the speeding tickets I was receiving from Laser (even though I had a Escort Passport 8500 X50, we all know laser is nearly instant and impossible to slow down for.) And as every police agency is slowly switching to laser (lidar) guns... I knew it was only a matter of time until my next ticket. I began to look into Laser Jammers, and I found a product from the EvoM Username JTG. He is a US rep for all the sales in the USA. I purchased a three head jamming system from him, and well... it is amazing =). It came with all wiring, all brackets, all tape, all screws, and anything else imaginable you could need for the install. Definitely a great buy for the price ($275 for two head, $400 for the three head system).

On to the pictures:

Sorry about the pics of the 2008 Ford GT 500... My girlfriend's mom (don't ask) picked it up that day brand new. I got to drive it a bit, it is amazing. Here is an extra picture of it because i know you guys will ask for it:

Overall, I am very very happy with this jamming system because it actually works! I was driving down a road the other day and decided to test the jammer by driving 56 in a 35... in a speed trap area. Out of no where, my jammer went off with the alert inside the car, and I simply coasted to slow down (did not apply the brakes at all) and when i was about 50 feet from the cop (on a side street on the opposite side of the road), i switched the jammer off to allow the officer to get a read once i was at the speed limit. The cop never moved an inch... Not even with my bright red Evo with 500whp... with a AMS exhaust. I am stunned that I have full protection... It's nice to use protection guys come on now.

Definitely a great write up. I am getting the a few jammers for my friends in this next week and if any of you are interested in where to get one (I am in no way associated with him or working for him or receive commission) you can contact him here:

Are cops on this forum though? Interested in this kit too. About the same price as the V1.

Nice, great install too. I've been tempted to get one as well, despite the fact that they are illegal in Illinois.

But a cop cannot pull you over and check if you have one... Keep that in mind =)

How easy is it to rip out and throw under the seat if you see officer friendly pulling you over? It will work great as long as you're in a pack of cars. What would a cop do if you're the only one on the road and guns you and gets no info?

I am a big time radar detector noob so I apologize if this is a dumb question or if it seems like I am being negative. I always use my own two eyes and I only speed as far as I can see.

I asked that question in a previous thread about these types of devices and the general idea is that you use this for initial jamming at a range where the officer won't be sure he's got a good read on you, detect with your laser detector, then slow to a normal speed at which time you switch off the jammer and drive by safely.

I'd be interested to know what the officer sees on his readout when he is getting jammed. In training they might be told "you're getting jammed if your readout says XYZ".

To answer your question...YES there are cops on this forum... LIDAR is a great tool (from what I have heared from LE). I honestly don't know if those are illegal? I do know that a LIDAR gun that doesn't rear is not enough PC to search your vehicle (unless you give them permission). I would like to get one, and test it though.. I just don't have $400 available to do it.. :-(

well being "officer friendly" as philip phrased it laser/radar detector is not illegal unless its in a commercial vehicle. just make sure its in a stealthy place, because you wouldnt want to get a ticket for obstructed drivers view, which can happen depending on if the ofc you run into is indeed ofc friendly haha.

now onto business: the radar i use at work has a "hold" function and is not emitting signals with that function holding it. the radar is on, but not monitoring. with the flip of a button the hold function is released, it monitors and can be back on hold in the matter of a second. nobody i know sits there with it monitoring all the time. its on hold and when a vehicle of interest approaches or passes, you release the hold function, find the speed in a second, and put it back on hold. that way its not emmitting and detectors cannot pick up the rays. not sure if the laser jammer works the same as a radar detector, but if it does, it will only pick up the radar if its emitting rays. as long as i have a good hiding spot and have my radar on hold, you dont know im there until its too late. if your detector goes off, remember, there is not a radar in the area (could be on hold), it means you are being monitored by one, in which case, too late. hope thats not too confusing (any questions post up, im very familiar with radar detectors but not laser jammer) and everyone drive safe.

dear sir. I have since sold my EVO but it has come to my attention via radardetector.net that you are now selling what is known in the industry to be rubbish. the product you are selling is also known as a Laser Mimic which was mass produced by Attowave subsidiary. Attowave is the same company that make Rocky Mountain Radar.

As a member of the Guys of Lidar quiet frankly, the one name that is trusted in this industry I can tell you the product you are selling does not work as advertised and you are misleading these board members.

Furthermore Radar Roy & SML both tested your product and it failed.

http://order.wickenburgweb.com/resou...deos/Mimic.htm

I would strongly ADVICE you to cease the promotion of your product & the sell of it.

To all forum members I caution you that this man is selling a product that does not work as advertised. For further information please visit radardetector.net or guysoflidar.com

I will keep an eye on you & this thread. The administrators have also been notified.

If you would like to rebuttal this then I would ask that you send me a sample of your product that will be tested against the Pro Laser 3, Pro Laser 2, Pro - Lite, LTI Marksman 20 / 20, LTI LRB 100PPS & LRB, Laser Atlanta, & Stalker LZ1. It will be placed by a professional installer, on a 2007 WHITE Jeep Cherokee with chrome grill. After the testing I will then package the product and mail it back to you. The results will be public knowledge and we shall let your product speak for its-self.

The blatant rip off of customers will not be permitted on my watch.
