anyone know where in independence,mo who sells unleaded high octane gas, 100oct abouts? I was using toulene at this one store at 4-6.00/gallon. But shermin williams sells it at 16.00/gallon. So now im wondering if the stuff i was using is bad quality. I rather just use race gas if the good toulene is 16.00/gallon

 

100% toluene is 100% toluene. Sherman Williams charges more because it says something cheeky on the can.

Have you considered switching to E-85?

 

E-85 has ethonal it it right?
I found a place selling 110 octane for $6.00 per gallon, dont know if thats a good price but sense its the same for the cheap toulene, i might as well use real gas.

 

I had the same thread going about a year ago. Try searching this forum and you should get be able to find it. I'm too lazy to do it right now.

East of Independence MO is a town called Grain Valley and the gas station on the North side of I70 on the only exit for Grain Valley sells race gas and pure methanol too if you are injecting that as well. They sell it at the pump which is a little more expensive as it has a "road" tax or what not like typical pump gas does vs. purchasing it from a race shop via a 5 gallon container.
