The following is my take on the tuning day status.

People who will commit to tuning their car with Vishnu are,

1) Silencer
2) Heshamnaim
3) Strat
4) mov_ovr
5) jspecEVO
6) erioshi
7) EVOlunchbox
8) gtr
9) EVOFREAK

Those who indicated maybe are,

1) Hammerli
2) Dragon41673
3) EvoVIIIGuy
4) Highrev

In all cases these lists were constructed based upon my reading of your posts in this thread. Obviously I could have misunderstood your intentions or just made a mistake recording names.

Thus you should now reconfirm your intent. Please review the following notes:

1) The dyno charge is $150 based upon unlimited pulls during tuning of your car.
2) The locations is,
The Porsche Exchange
2300 Skokie Valley Rd
Highland Park, IL 60035-1735
3) As cited by Shiv the proposed date is a Saturday in early December.

I will also try to post PM's to all parties in the above list as a reminder.

What do we need to bring? Do we all need an XEDE? Is the 150 dollars the only cost? What is the time you need for each car? Thanks sorry for all the quesions

count me in.

But, I do have a concern about the winter time tuning. Remember, they switch over to the winter blend formulation for gas.

You uncommitted guys need to check out the Houston tuning thread! Shiv worked majic on every EVO/WRX there- we all made even more SAFE power than we expected- seriously the EVO is a sick sick beast now!! I cant stress that enough for a minimal investment you get a serious upgrade in power- You cant thank shiv enough for actually taking time away from the shop to help us out- I couldnt be happpier

I do not know how much difference hp wise in fuel but I would love to have a winter and summer map.

I'm also concerned about the chicago fuel. It is really watered down. I mean my bro's wrx starting to get knock counts when fueled at chicago. Had to get some toluene at the paint store to solve that I'm going to top off 94 before i go and mix with their so called 93 with is more like 91 in my opinion.

I will definitely confirm my intent probably within the next few weeks. I really want my car to be tuned. Right now, I'm just using an HKS SAFR.

While I am interested in dyno tuning, my question is this:

Is this tuning limited to Xede users? As I just bought through stage 4 of Buschurs, I have a SAFCII and a SBC-IDIII that are brand new and literally installed within a week. So does Shiv tune only those customers with Xede, because if so, this tuning session would not be of use given I do not wish to go that route at this time.

Well Im almost positive the SAFC doesnt have the parameters that shiv will want to tweek so unfortunately you have a good package but went a different and less tunable route

Hammerli and MP5 - this might be a really good chance to compare an XEDE to the multi-box path. It would be really interesting to see Hammerli's car tuned with his set-up; then those disconnected and see it re-tuned with an XEDE.

Someone would need to foot the bill for the dyno time, but I'd be willing to loan my XEDE for the comparison. Of course it would depend on Shiv being willing to try it.

Well, my intent is to add the dynoflash, which in conjunction with my existing components, will actually be more tunable for my situation. Since I sent several requests to Vishnu regarding information before I decided on which package to go with , and received zero rersponses to email AND phone messages, I decided to spend my money on a better supported package. All they had to do was reply to an email, and my $4000 check would have been in the mail.

I am up for trying a XEDE, depending on how well it fits my needs for multiple boost/fuel maps. But I am certainly not spending the high(IMO) price without proof and more research into people who are using them in my type of situation.
