Weekly Evolution Meets in Schaumburg
We can't organize meets because we are trying to please everyone. The simple fact is we can't.
Also EvolutionM doesn't appear to have a "Regional events coordinator" (please correct me if I'm wrong). We need an "organizer" desperately! We need a leader to step up and say "this is where the meet is, this is what time we are having it". Until that is set in stone we're never going to have a successful meet. It's then up to forum users to decide if they want to come along. Once a date and time has been set, news will spread and intern more cars will attend the meets.
Personally I think it should be a Evo M moderator... that or a "Regional coordinator" position is created for our area.

i personally dont think we need one, anyone can step up to the plate and organize just like what incognito is doing, all he needs is our support which is what i am doing and what i hope others would follow.

I dont know if the CTA lot is far enough away from the streets for meets. I guess the popo are making "safety checks" at the streets and handin any and every ticket they can. Front plate, tint, loud exhaust, etc.

They can't do anything to us while we're parked at the CTA stop -it's public property and out of their jurisdiction. Also, like I have said in the past you cannot cater to everybody's wants and needs, (this is one of the reasons why meets never happen because not EVERYBODY can be attended for their schedules). This post is to find out what day, (in general) people want to have the meet. Time and place are set so those who can make it..awesome, those who cannot, sorry but that's the reality of things when trying to coordinate an 'event'. Thanks for the votes, it looks pretty even right now, we need more heads!

What went down at Fudruckers? It's people that mess around at meets that give clubs and forums a bad name.
I've only been to one Evo meet at BWW and it was freezing so I didn't hang out for long but everyone seemed pretty cool. Oh I went to AMS open day too
I'm really don't see why there would be a problem joining the subaru crowd. Why don't was ask them if we can come along?
I for one love suburus. There seems to be this great divide between the WRX/STI owners and EVO owners. I really don't get it.
The 2 cars are all about the same thing and have evolved side by side competing against each other. I know when buying my car I looked at the STI AND the Evo... it was a tough choice. I think I would have been happy with either car. If someones got a nice Subby I'll go check it out and talk to the owner. I do this because I feel we share the same interest... we love awd, turbo sports sedans.
People who say Subarus are crap or Subaru owners are tools, need to grow up. Seriously. (The same applies Vice Versa)
How about we build bridges towards the Subaru community instead of putting up walls.
Sorry rant over.... this is something that just gripes me.

just wanted to let you guys know that i wil try my best to be checking this thread. sister from out of the country is here visiting so kinda hectic with showing her around and super short staffed at work.
ot: drove the evo for the very first time on the hiway to o'hare today. dang it was a sweet drive.
btw i voted for saturday but can also make it on thursday.

Hey i want to chime in again. my name is mark and i know im a newbie or whatever but i really like organizing these sorts of things, ive been getting in touch with locals and a few guys on the thread that are in surrounding areas.. and weve come up around 7 evos so far to do weekly night cruises to downtown naperville, its cool if everyone here can show up, if not thats cool too, you know where we'll be. theres a 3 story parking garage and we park right up top its usually a good time. i think downtown naperville is a great atmosphere and the center of us all. the people who ive talked to are really excited and agree 100% on the location we just need to find a date. so let me know what some of you think.
