Man! Pineapplemonkey and I were there at 8:45 till 9:15 and nobody showed (2) RR IX RS'). I think what is better is if we somehow had exchanged numbers -I called Jeff (lexat20) to see if anything was going on at the Nville meet since nobody was over here and he mentioned only a few people showed so I ended up going to see Batman. I am really glad people actually showed and I hope this little mishap can be overlooked and more organized meets will continue.

Jeff I'll use you as eyes to see if anything is going on at the Nville meet and you guys are free to use me as 'eyes' to see if anything is going on at the Schaumburg meet (PM me for number if anybody is interested so we don't make trips and end up going to a BUNK meet).

 

I don't blame you guys for only sticking around for 30 mins if there was only 2 of you. If I hadn't have got my flat I would have been there early/ontime. I think we need to put the exact address for the Pace Bus Stop, it was had to find, especially as I thought I was looking for a CTA! It also seems pretty dumb that we have 2 meets on a Thursday. I mean if the Naperville Evo's meet up with the Schaumburg Evo's and we all got there on time, we would had have 9 Evo's, which aint bad.

Makos and I drove past the Subaru meet at Hooters when we were cruising around and there must have been about 15-20 cars there. They're putting us to shame

Maybe we should scrap the Thursday meets and have a Friday or Saturday meet in another(easy to find) location. How about Strats in Villa Park? There are always cars there and it's really easy to find.

I intend to be a regular at these meets and if anyone wants my cell just give me a PM.

 

So do you guys want to leave this stickied as a 'weekly meets' thread, or do you want to start another one down the road.

 

I think we need to find and day and location that works first, then sticky it.

 

Yeah Brian can you scrap this for now seems like there is still some confusion and the fact that there are now two meets on the same day only adds in to the mess. Thanks!

clearly the meet failed cuz nobody was sure that anybody was going to show up, very much understandable considering it was the maiden voyage.

now that we know people are really going to show up we could definitely wait a bit longer.

it would have been a decent turnout if we all just waited.

i think what we need is a commitment from everybody that they intend to show up and not just post.

I was planning on going, but got holed up in Plano. I was helping my buddy move out there. by the time we were done it was way past 9 and not to mention i was in plano. I did get to watch the batman movie at midnight and it was the shiet!!!
