I dont know how the 5-0 are in chi town, but in Texas I have never been pulled over. I have a 06 IX with LICP UICP Intake, Invidia o2, Invidia DP, UR Test Pipe and a HKS Cat Back. Honestly its really not that loud until about 4 grand and past that its Fng loud. If I see 5-0 I just cruise and they never look twice, probably also has to be because my car is wingless with no stickers or emblems!

I don't know about Chicagoland, but in my part of the land of Lincoln, the PD never even bats an eye. I've been daily drivin for probably 4 years with one.

Sacramento, California. 3" dp, 3" test pipe, and 3" cobb catback. Running for 1 1/2 years now without being pulled over. I ride stock height to keep the police attention off my back.

I've been running a test pipe for years; on the DSM and Evo. I have never been pulled over for having an exhaust, but because of my own stupidity. And in all those times that I have been pulled over, the cop has never got down on his hands and knees to see if there is a cat. Come on; if you were a cop, pulling over some stranger, are you really going to put yourself at the disadvantage of taking your eyes off the suspect, and then get down on the ground!?
... and I'm in the land where cops are on the war path for "street racers."

Southern OC California. GReddy competition Ti-C (full 80mm turbo back no taper)....Haven't been pulled over. Don't drive like an *** and you won't call as much attention to yourself.

I'm running a 3" DC Sports DP with the 3" ETS downpipe-back setup, pretty much as straight and unrestricted as you can get. I've never been pulled over or anything, also I don't even think it's that loud.

I been rocking out the AMS TBE with test pipe for about 6 months now. It doesn't draw any attention what so ever when just cruising. But when it opens up then its loud, but even then its not really that loud

I lived in Chicago with my Evo but now live in the burbs.... I drive around daily with my 3in cutout open and I also have a 3in catless TBE..... Only gotten one ticket and thats with the cutout closed and the cop was the biggest dick ever...... He pulled me over because I didn't use my signal when switching lanes..... He also gave me a tint ticket and no front license plate ticket...
