I had Suspension work done in my car lowered it and got rid of the ugly stock ride height. Now, Im totally happy with the outcome, however, my alignment was out of whack. I called several shops nearby and half of them did not have the specs for an 08 Evo X GSR. Make long story short, Called up "Just Tires" in Morton grove... Located waukegan and beckwith. They did a great job... Talk to "Major" nice dude.. I will be coming back there to have them re-adjust or maybe do some off specs for streets. Anyhow, Just wanted to share.. Peace

does your place off lifetime alignments like firestone? and whats the cost

 

If you guys want a custom one done, then go to GRD in Villa park, No questions asked..

 

For aftermarket rims and/or suspension then it's $100.
I don't think there's a lifetime alignment.

 

Thanks to OZ Rally for the recommendation. Went to Elmhurst Just Tires and had Aries do the wheel alignment. Specialty alignment was 100.00 and he took care not to scratch up my car or wheels. Great service and it was fast, called and had the alignment same day.



I was previously recommended to DuPage Autowerks who said they can do an alignment no problem for 100.00. I say, "Ok that's good, I'm on coilovers for a 2006 evo."
They said, "Oh the 100.00 is for the front two wheels only, the back two will be another 100.00"
wow.

 

if anyone needs an alignment go check out VS motorsports in schaumburg.. great shop and is a vendor on evom. i had mine done there last week (also on coils) and they did a great job. the guys there were nice, professional and real patient and took extra time to fix a problem i had with my rear left. they're also having a special deal for only $69. can't beat that.

 

$69 ain't easy to beat. Not associated with them in any way other than as a customer, but the NTB in St Charles is where AMS sent me for alignment work and I've been back there numerous times since for two things. Great work at fair prices.

 

We take all our cars to Douglas automotive for alignments. they can do anything from race to street setups.

 

TF has a new shop that does alignments and corner balancing, etc. Here is one of their fliers that they posted up earlier on one of the other threads.

I used to live in St. Charles, and took the recommendation from AMS to go to this NTB. After numerous bad experiences (that I won't bother to go into detail about right now), I no longer go to the NTB in St. Charles.

However, nice thing about NTB is that they are nationwide, so you can get the same deal anywhere (and have your deal honored anywhere) and the techs at the Oswego/Montgomery NTB are great. I would definitely get at least the 1yr unlimited alignments.

 

I use to go to this place all the time. A lot of ppl that autox recommends this place. I dont trust NTB firestone, etc. Last time I went to NTB they scratchd my rims and I almost got arrested trying to get them to pay for the damages. Whereas at Thalmann, its just 1 guy working there, and he really takes care of ya, he does custom alignments, and is very knowledgable with most suspension setup. Not pricey too, I forget how much exactly but its well worth the money as hes not likely going to mess your shi$ up
