FYI, today was the date for the bill to come up in the Vehicles and Safety committee. The vote was two in favor of it passing to the house, four against, so it remains in committee for now.

No, it's been rescheduled for discussion in committee again on the 17th. We'll see where it goes from there. Odds are, it's just a question of making a few changes to make the bill more acceptable (language adjustments, etc).

First, this is just the vehicles and safety committee; nothing will "pass" for months, if it even makes it to the floor.

Second, it looks like they haven't discussed the bill yet, or haven't gotten out of session, because there's been no update yet on any of the bills they were considering today.
