Depending on your budget, you can get a manual boost controller which i have and works very well, or an electronic boost controller which is much eaiser to tune your boost. I have the manual due to funds because it was only 45 from elite, but if you have some extra money to spend get an electronic. Here is a site to look at to see some elec. ones. http://www.vividracing.com/main/, its under elcetronics, they have a few you can look at, but not sure how vivd is for service though buy you can atleast look at there stuff.

There are a few of us, but most don't post too much. At one time we were trying to get a proper MN Evo club together, but that kind of melted. I think between 1/3 and 1/2 of the Evos I see regularly have been modified.

My car will be back on the road again next week, and then I'll be able to get the AFRs dialed in for my cams. That project was cut short when someone drove into the side of my car.

If you're really interested in hard driving, come up and check out an AARRF track day in St. Cloud later this month (17th & 18th). It's great fun and you get to chase STi's and other fast cars. Drive your car hard all day without worrying about speeding tickets. Their wesite is www.aarrf.com.

I'm getting HKS cams (264/272) and should have them on the car soon. Will let you know if I notice any sound difference.

Hi Boys. Sorry to hear about your troubles erioshi. I dinged up mine the other day too! I'm thinking of starting a thread on the Dynoflash forum to get Al out here to MN. Think we'll be able to find 5 people?

Not sure, mndeerslayer. I know Al is planing a trip to AMS in Chicago in August sometime, you might be able to catch him there.

So how did Rock Falls go?

I'm planning on going to the Chicago meet if there's enough people signed up for Al to come there. I've already sent my deposit for the custom tune. I would rather stay here if he could come here instead but I haven't noticed any threads on him coming to MN so will just have to settle for Chicago.

Cool - W'ell have to compare tunes (and get some G-Tech data) after you get back. I've put together a Vishnu event in Chicago for the 31st of this month. It will be fun to see how everyone's car comes out.

I know of one car in town with a mail-in DynoFlash and it seems pretty quick. You guys need to come to one of the AARRF track days. Driving your Evo hard where you can really learn the car is amazing. There is just no way to fully experience that on the street.

If you really want some track time there is a BIR (Brainerd) event comming up the 4th of August. PM me for details. Otherwise the next AARRF days in St. Cloud are August 7th and 8th. After that it's early September.

Comparison sounds cool. Erioshi, I like to see your car someday. So which cams did you end up with? I remember reading something about you getting either Juns or Pipers. Your car must rock.

The AARRF events are a lot of fun. You get up to a lot higher speeds than an autocross would. Its enough speed to get you in trouble, so stay safe.

If your looking for EVO events, on August 22nd is the All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show in Rogers, MN. More info at:
http://www.mn3s.org/all_mitsubishi2004.html

We have a few EVOs signed up to come so far. We'll probably have 5-10 of them there this year. The event is open to all Mitsubishi built cars.

later,
Curt

No that wasn't me. Mine's pretty much in the garage most of the time. I only drive it on the weekends afraid I might get in trouble, boost is very addictive. I drive the Si on a daily basis. I put about 100 miles a day on my car so thought I would save the miles on the Evo and drive it on special occasions only.
