what is the reason you think they dont want to work there?? maybe its cause there are no minorities already there. doesnt that make them racist?? if a black dude doesnt want to work there cause there are no other black dudes there what does that make him. anyway who cares, this whole racist thing is gay anyway. just saying how is a whole town or police dept racist cause no minorities work there, that is a lame statement. is my family racist cause no black people live in the house with us, haha.

I dont know what happened to this thread, but around home chicago and suburbs i have no trouble without my plate. However when im at school, WIU, the macomb cops like to pull me over and warn me about it. Ive yet to get a ticket from them though.

 

lol i had a 95 grandam and it was purple, and i used to on scott AFB by belleville, IL all the time and they never said a word to me, my sister did it and the first time she didn't have her front plates they gave her a warning, lol!!

been 3-4 months and i still dont got my front plates on nothing done about it yet, and i pass po-po's all the time cuz they like to do 2-4 under and no one passes them, but ME! but im GANGSTA like that

 

good job at giving those macomb cops hell mike. surprised they didnt write you yet, when i was there just a year and a half ago they wrote for everything. around here though, im not worried about it. got mine in august and have yet to get stopped for it anywhere in the city/suburbs.

 

Here in Ohio we have a front plate. I am in the process of having a reflective decal made which will replace the metal plate and bracket. Not a perfect solution but better than the bracket and plate.

 

Loud exhaust, no cats, no license plate. Just tell them it didn't come with anything to mount it on and you are having a custom mount made at the moment.

 

I got pulled over... . Damn cop gave me a ticket bc I dont have my insurance paper. ooo well, I guess I have to put my plate back on. It sucks.

 

Did you get a ticket for the plate though? If not don't put it back on yet.

 

I think my time is probably running out with the macomb police. The last one said that if he ever saw me with out it again that i was getting a ticket. So im hoping i can talk my way out of it when that time comes.

 

If a police force promotes equal opportunity employment amongst its own patrol ranks, then how come in my 3 years of living here I've never seen a minority officer? I should have by now. Maybe they only hire minority clerks, not officers, just to satisfy the whole equal opportunity thing, but they don't want to taint their ranks with darker skin. Who knows? Maybe I should make a visit to the police department and see for myself.

Would you want to work in an environment that doesn't promote a safe and comfortable atmosphere? A minority individual has a right to such things. If he or she doesn't believe that the work atmosphere is appropriate for him or her to work, he or she shouldn't be forced to work there and look elsewhere. It is after all their right, or don't they have it?

If you think "...this whole racist thing is gay anyway...", then you're an idiot for making such a comment. Oblivious is probably the better term, but I didn't know if you knew what it meant or how it is spelled. Racism and discrimination happens everywhere and you just dismiss it like it doesn't matter.

Maybe some of your ignorance stems from the fact that you probably don't wake up to the same environment that some other people do. I don't blame you for not knowing how people like myself have to deal with certain issues because you probably don't care. Why you don't care? Because you probably aren't affected by it. And like most people, if you're not affected by an issue, there is little to care about.

I was once pulled over because I "...looked Mexican." and I'm not even Mexican. I was driving my dad's car at the time of the incident and I guess the officer figured, "Gee, a Mexican driving a Jeep Cherokee in this area? Something's not right. Let me pull him over and speak spanish to him because I know he doesn't understand english." And that's what he actually did. If you think that isn't racist, then I guess you're a bigger idiot than I thought.

 

wasnt expecting anyone to speak a diatribe based on statements that dont even belong in this thread but whatever. im just saying you cant speak for a whole PD cause one guy is an *** or whatever he was to you. sorry to tell you but every profession has asses. real world my friend. some people, regardless of their profession, like to **** with people. its a shame it has to happen in such an honorable and great profession but it happens in every field. i know hoffman does have at least a few minority officers, so look harder. in your three years of living in your city (i assume hoffman since you know so much about their pd) how many interactions have you had with the police dept.? just curious. go in and talk to them. hoffman is a big enough dept to where im sure they have a community relations divisions or something like that who would be glad to talk to you about your issues. let me know what they say, i would be interested to hear.
