I cant think of one. What does everyone say when the cops ask about the missing front plate?

 

I haven't used this yet but if it comes up I'm gonna say that I got hit in a parking lot and the bracket broke. Why haven't I got one from the dealer officer? Because this is a low production car that has a specific attachment bracket. No dealers seem to have any extras so I have to wait for one to come in from Japan off an evo 7.

how could it break, it's metal isn't it? No the evo uses a plastic one to save weight. Then go into talking about how the glass is thinner, etc.

The more crap you say in there about stuff they don't understand, the more likely they'll let you go so they don't sound stupid trying to give you a ticket.

I got out of a couple in my camaro cause I just talked the guy's ear off with like a 5 minute backstory.

Another thing to consider is that everytime I got stopped for no plate or side tint in my camaro (7 in all), it was nice out. They don't care enough (in my experience) to bother you about it in crappy weather.

Actually, they're just ******, in general.

But you are right, the cops around here seem to have something against the Asian community, which is incredibly large around here (Schamburg/Arlington Heights).

People just suck. Just because someone is a cop, it doesn't make them any better of a person...as evidenced by cops that are ******.

As for the plate, yhea, it's on the front. Of course I haven't renewed the damn thing in 2 years...lol.

 

How come part of me has the idea that if you place the front licence plate on the dash its ok? i might just be on crack but i think i've heard of that being ok. I wouldn't think a police officer would really care as long as you had the second plate visible.


I've gotten pulled over twice for no front plate and i just tell them that the bracket broke and i show them the second plate in my car and they let me go. works ever time.

 

Actually you cannot put a license plate inside your car at all. Atleast that is what the cop told me 4 years ago when he pulled me over. He said it has to be displayed outside the car.

I do not have a front plate either.

 

putting the plate on the dash is improper display of registration. you can get a coupon for improper display.

 

i just got a $100 dollar ticket for no front plate in minneapolis last night. it sucked i was sitting down eating dinner at a restarant and i knew the meter that i was parked at only had about 4 min. left on it. just as i was getting up to leave i saw thru a window a cop standing next to my car writing somthing out. i ran out the door to my car and the cop handed me the ticket. i thought it was for the meter thing but i could see that it had 2 min. left. then he told me it was for no fron lic. plate......oh well. i knew it was coming.
