STORY TIME!
Months ago, I became a very unlucky driver during a slight rain storm. Due to my evo 8 having an open air filter, I sucked some in on a hard right turn and bent a rod
Ended up losing the job I had a week later and the evo just sat for months. I obtained another job that paid better than I expected. I was able to get my engine rebuilt by my professor at my college actually but now that I have this new job, I don't have as much time as I did before and I am unable to drop it back in the evo. I called around different shops looking for quotes. One shop that I was at previously seemed a little indifferent and I was not able to get my evo in there. Another shop had a price range that was just quite....
then APM Replied to me immediately though with a quote that was hard to pass by AND it had the exact words I was looking for at the end, I understand everyshop is going to add their +FLUIDS charge, but also, APM added this at the end "$$$- $$$ depending on bolts" Perfect. Now I know that for sure they are obviously not going to cheap out and miss any bolts. Maybe to some other people it doesn't matter but shops need credibility and this is me vouching for APM out of the manyyyyy shops I've dealt with in the past years just based on prior communication.
I called a couple weeks later ( after I got my money together) and spoke to Mark. Right away, he was very informational. We set up an appointment and I was more than ecstatic to work with them and to get my evo finally back on the road. We did run into an issue on the day of the appt, but mark personally called me and apologized for the mishap which I HAVE NEVER heard of any shop doing before. Not many shops these days take time out of their day to personally call someone after hours and apologize for a mishap. Infact, i've never seen that before.
I had my evo towed over this morning bright and early 9am along with the engine and rest of the power train in the back of my truck. Right away Maciek (APM Owner, I Believe) greeted me and went over the evo and checked everything out. He then gave us a hand and lifted the engine and trans, and tcase out of my truck and into his shop. He asked me when I wanted it done by, of course, since I havent driven my evo in months, i said AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, haha. He made note of it and said he would make an attempt to start tonight and he would give me a update tomorrow. Overall so far, I'm very pleased with APM. Maciek and Mark both seem like super knowledgable guys and their pricing is unbelievably great and super competitive. I will keep updating this as the days go on.
THANKS AGAIN APM!!!!

UPDATE: 6/15/12 3:00PM
Mark calls me, said the installation of my engine took a little more than we expected, i guess since my friends and i took it out from the top we had to disconeect a lot more than you usuually do when you drop it from the bottom. so there was a lot more they had to put together!
The price did go up signifigantly but it was justified. Mark said the car would be ready for pickup the morning after! WOW. Not even 2 full days in, and the car is already done. That blows me away!
UPDATE: 6/16/12 11:00AM,
Alright. I got the evo back. it started up first shot, no issues. I had the absolute biggest grin on my face since i havent driven it in almost 5 months. Hearing it start up again was such a great feeling, we let it warm up for about 15 minutes then mark instructed me to take it out around the neighborhood and make sure everything is good! So i did, there street was bumpy, but other than that, the evo rode great!
Mark and I chatted and i paid them in full so i could take the car home!
On the way home, i started to take the on ramp on to the highway and all of a sudden the car wouldn't go into gear and the clutch was giving me lock out. after slowing down, it finally went in. I was a little weirded out but it drove fine after that. on the way home it happened a couple more times, mostly during quick shifting, i wasnt beating on it what so ever, but just downshifting to move around traffic. when i got home, my family and i were outside chatting and glad i finally have it back. Then i walked around to the back end and noticed drips of coolant... so i walked to the front of the evo and looked under and just my luck. A BIG LAKE OF COOLANT. I called apm right away and let them know what happened, they said to bring it in tuesday and they will take care of it right away!
UPDATE 6/19/12 3:00PM,
I had the car towed over to them at 11:30 this mornig, they called me at 1:00 saying the coolant issue was because of a deteriated hose. so they put a brand new one on, and they are going to fix the clutch issue. a couple hours later they called back and said the adjusted the clutch higher and re bleed it. they said i shouldnt have that issue anymore and when i come pick it up, i should take it our for a bit just to make sure because obviously it's my car and I know how it should feel. They were exactly correct!
After all of this, i have nothing but good things to say about them!
APM IS QUICK, RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE, and REASONABLE!!
Keep it up guys! Mark and Maciek, i seriously have nothing but good words to say about you guys!

This might sounds weird but I haven't been on Evom in years because I sold my viii a few years back, I need some work done on my new toy and could not for the life of me remember what the shops name that did a lot of my work. So I logged on to my account and searched Maciek and I am glad to hear that he's still around and still doing great quality work. I had cams, clutch, misc installed on my car from him. I will contact APM soon with some business I hope they can help me out on!
