I'm new to the midwest area and I've been living in Champaign,IL for about 6 months. On my way to an AutoX this weekend my ACD pump let go. All three lights come on after I drive it for a bit, maybe 1000'. I do not have any ABS light on so I'm guessing my pump is finished. It was making a squeal/buzz for a few weeks prior.

I have an 06 Evo IX with light mods and 40K on the clock. I'd like to see if I can get the ACD pump done under the 10/100,000 power-train warranty. But I need the right dealership to go to.

Where should I go? What dealers should I avoid? Has anyone here had the ACD pump replaced under warranty?

 

good luck having it warrantied. have a buddy that had a 2010 evo X and they denied it. he paid almost 2k installed.

 

The most important detail is where did he get rejected?

 

I spoke to O'Brian Mitsubishi in Normal,IL and they told me the ACD pump wasn't covered under the 10/100,000 powertrain warranty, instead by the 5/60,000. It's clearly a power-train component, but I'm not surprised they won't do the right thing.

Hey Dave, its Anthony, I met you at the autox. Like I said, its pointless to go to any of the mitsu dealers around here. Bill Jacobs in Joliet I have heard is pretty good with modded cars and warranties.

I didnt think the evo had a 10year, 100k mile warranty? When did that happen? I thought it was a measly 3yr, 36k mile warranty on the Evo models.
