Make it 3. Just towed home my '03 from Racine, WI last Friday. I live in Blue Grass and work in Iowa City. My wife will be driving the Evo most days, so keep your eye out for a cutie in a Red '03.

 

You're going to race your brand new MR ? Shouldn't you let it at least break in first I also don't have the guts to risk voiding my warrenty that quicky

 

I have 900 miles on it now, a fresh oil change and by the time I get to the track Sunday I should have over 1200 miles...and what's a warrenty?

Yes, I'm going to race it. Gotta try it out on a road course. It should be fine.

 

Glad to hear. We may have to start a QC Evo club, lol. Actually now there are 4 total that I know about. Your Rally Red, 2 Tarmacs(mines 1), 1 BBY. Hope to meet up with you guys, and kudos to your wife for driving the Evo. Gotta luv it. BTW, heading out I-80 to Ohio for Evo/WRX shootout next Friday if anyones interested.

Just wanted to say thanks to Alex for setting up a great event this weekend. I had a blast and I am absolutely amazed by this car.

feautoevo: I've been going to the ANSD's for the last couple years in my rsx and did a bunch of test and tunes, I'll probably go a few times this year, but I do mostly road course and autoX now. There's no road courses in Iowa really, except for Mid American Motorplex in Omaha. We're gonna try to set something up there sometime this summer if we can. I'm gonna try to get some info soon.

The course I went to this weekend in Wisconsin (USA International Raceway) was really nice. Very technical with a few blind corners and some decent straights. It was a lot of fun. I'd defiantely like to go back again.

It's actually a kart track, and has a number of possible configurations, an arial picture can be seen at http://www.usainternationalraceway.com/Arial.asp One thing the picture doesn't show is the elevation changes. They are quite large, and make things interesting.

We are holding 3 more events at this track.

May 8th, July 2nd, and Oct 9th.
