Damnit! I just saw this. I left Matt a voicemail this evening as I wasn't sure if the meet was still on and I didn't check this till now. I was at Woodward around 7:30 and then again at 9:30, but didn't see any EVOs.

I got a call from my friend right now that he saw 3 EVOs parked close to Art Van on Woodward...1 yellow and 2 whites.

Anyway, you going to Ohio on Sunday?

Damn - you left me a message? I gotta start checking this damn thing. My bad man! It was actually a pretty good turn out. I think we had a total of 5 Evos (at the same spot as last time) on Woodward. then I went down to Tele/Joy for some races and there were 2 MORE evos (red one with 19" Racing Harts and his brother with a blue one).

I got to race a WS-6 with a built motor, and dual stage N20 system, he got me but we were dead even untill 90-100mph. I also raced a Z06 I got him once, he got me once. Not too bad for Friday the 13th.

 

Great to finally meet more Evo owners. Great Car, Matt!!! Had my digital camera with me, shoulda gotten some shots (keep my memory fresh on upgrade ideas...)

Anyway, I'll call you later on this evening to check your plans for tomorrow and coordinate our schedules. Also I went to Tom's shop but it was closed today.

 

What would be a good time to be in the Woodward area on the cruise day? This will be my first year attending and I don't want to miss anything.

Woodward is PACKED solid from about 9am on saturday. Spots start filling up during the week prior. My spot gets reserved on Wednesday night.

My advice, pack a sleeping bag and come on Friday afternoon. Spend the night and you wont miss anything Sat morning.

 

I saw an MR with California Distributor plates on Woodward in Ferndale yesterday. Anyone else see it?

does any one have a location for all the EVO's to park out? on woodward? i live close to woodward and might head over there.. I'm still trying to find the 03 EVO with the Plate V8KILLA... love the plate... the car is ALWAYS at VAL's Pet supply on 14 and rochester road. I just happen to stop by to get cat food and it was there... it has been there every day i drive by..

I just got my EVO july 9th and i can say the car is amazing... i'm close to 1k on it and need to get another 1k before i'm going to lay into it. I turned in my BMW 330ci for this without ever test driving it or knowning anything more about them then what i read... I made the right choice.

if any one is interested in actaull HIGH SPEED DRIVING Schools i mean like race at INDY, MIS, MID-OH, GRATTEN, GINGERMAN, and many others... it would be nice to see some more evo's on the track besides me... all these slow BMW's need to get out of the way.. and trsut em they are HEAVY and slow.. unless you have the M3... i was being beat by mod'ed NEON's... i just couldn't handle that.

As for track events. I'm all for it. Driving to Gingerman is a bit of an overkill as it's a long drive. I've never done MidOhio so i definitely wanna check it out. the season is almost over, so hopefully Mid Ohio next year. I plan on going to Gingerman in October.

Have you tried Waterford yet? I like that track better than Gingerman. Lot less run off room and i think a bit more technical...so u really need to know what you're doing.

When you first track the car you'll be amazed...this car will just flat out kick some Porsche and BMW ***.

 

Yea lets meet somewhere on the 21st, cuz I can't come down on friday night... A few of us might meet in Lansing and then head down to Woodward.

 

I'll be 'round the same place by 14 mile and ww from thursday on.

 

Anyone from Lansing or area, a group of us are going to leave at 5:30, starting point unknown...although if you want a cool group of cars to ride with then it should be a good cruise to da' cruise!

I was on Woodward from 9:30 - 10:30 last night. I tried to keep an eye out for you around 14 mile but didn't see you. Could have missed you cuz of the traffic.
