The front spots were packed, so my car was actually on the sidewalk. I'll be there tonight , all day friday and saturday.

 

Couldn't make it out tonight (Thursday). Will keep an eye out for you on Friday and Saturday. Just confirm your location again for tomorrow and Saturday.

Well, I went out tonight, I only saw the Blue By You EVO with the neon lights out.

Hopefully more will be out tomorrow and Saturday.

I'm gonna be in the same spot that most of us met at last time.

Sorry guys, but other things have come up - may be able to get up there late friday, but saturday is pretty much a no-go. (an all-day long, last-minute massive family function, 2 hr drive back... D**MMIT!!!)

 

i wanted to make it, but then when i was messing with my BOV and air intake pipe I broke my Camshaft Position Sensor. Dealer only part...who knows when it will be in!

 

Sorry I've been gone for the past week, just had a final Thursday night so I should be a little more active now!

Im not gonna be arund tongiht, but will try and sneak out tomorrow. I have no plans of "cruising" over the weekend, but I will be walkin some laps. I DO plan on going down to the races Saturday as long as the weather holds out, so if anyone wants to pick on some American Muscle, I'm sure there will be PLENTY of options.

Hopefully we'll meet up and find some more lurkers!



OH, and I should have C/F exhaust shields if anyone wants to pick one up.

OK i was out there.... i saw only one other Lancer out there.. on saturday... i was in my Brother-in-law tub car... wow 400HP little roadster i thought the EVO had pickup....

anyway... I saw a Lancer all decked out and told him to post here.. I hope he does.. NICE Lancer... I also saw a MR turning EAST bound on to 14 mile at Coolidge... going quite fast i might add looked great.

Today I saw a RED either RS or EVO on M-59 heading East bound at Mound... exit... he got off but i had to keep going.

but the cruise was kewl as hell... we all need to get a location and setup next year... there are enough of us out here..

 

I went to Woodward also. It was cool enough I guess. Next year, I need more Imports to roll with me though, cuz I felt a little intimidated (a little) There were lots of people who cheered the Evo, and some who dissed openly. Everyone's yelling "Light 'em up" and me and my friends are yelling out "It's AWD *********az!" Then some kid urged me enough to do a launch when I had a little room and it did make some noise at the wheels. Immediately after, there was a huge group of cops, but I don't think they noticed my relatively small burnout in the midst of all the other RWDs. One kid walked up to my car, asking, "Dude is this an Evo 3?" My passenger side friend said, "It's an Evo 8", and he was like "WHOA!!". Were all laughing at that still, cuz, of course, seeing an Evo 3 in america is way more special than an 8. Another teenager was asking what I had done to the car, cuz he saw my intercooler. I was like, "That's stock". "No way", he said. "I know those brembos aren't stock." "Uhh yea they are." "Really?" I don't think he believed me. I'm sure he did some research later.

The best part was that I got to see a lot of cars in one spot, and a lot of badass cars at that. Some include:

Evos: 5 total, including mine. I saw a white one with a sleeper spoiler parked on a side street out of sight. It's plate said "BIG3ETR" <LOL. I saw a red one and two black ones. Who was it? I also saw a Lancer OZ Rally on 96 East. We were in stop and go traffice, and when she passed I honked at tried to get her attention, but she didn't even notice the Evo. That really pissed me off. How can you drive a Lancer and not know what an Evo is?????!@?!?!?!?!

Are u the guy with decals or stickers on the side of your car. Someone in the yellow EVO heading North honked at me and i waved back. i was heading South on Woodward close to 13mile. I was in a black EVO too

 

I was another black one out.. Bronze wheels.

I saw the MR also, it was actually Sunday and we got to romp on it a little!


He pasted me at about 11 1/2 mile and I immediatly hit a turn around and was off... I caught upto him, but he just kinda flored it when I got next to him, so of course I was happy to oblige . Anyhow, It was some guy named Jason, works for Automobile magazne, lives in Ferndale work in A2.

And man - he was BEATING THE **** out of this car. I doubt it ever saw 4th or 5th gear, we'd drop back in traffic and floor it then all of the sudden I'd hear this backfiring - so I asked what's up with the misfire? His response - No, that's just the rev limiter!

Oh well, I guess if it wasn't my car I'd have a goo time with it to.
